The treble peaks in 2k-20k frequency is the high pitch/shrilling of gunfire that can cause ear fatigue. Create a custom eq bringing them down by 1-2 db until it stops bothering you. If you look at this squiglink you can see the peaks past 2k.

Or, you can skip DTS and just use Equalizer APO app and grab the AutoEQ ParametricEQ settings for the HyperX Cloud III. And, avoid the NGenuine software, which can brick your headset with updates. Hyper X Cloud III S wireless are a solid value and are tuned well.

Same thing with my Cloud III S but the wireless dongle doesn't connect to the headset. When I wire up the headset the software doesn't recognize anything. But like you Windows sees it but still nothing works. This is on HP, really know how to fuck long time customers of HyperX by releasing inferior
