An ikea markus has better reclining mechanism and ergonomy, than most gaming chairs at 2x-3x price.You just have to look for something better, and not get stuck at "but gaming chairs are cheaper than herman miller"

I personally think standing desks are redundant unless you are constantly on video calls, you can just stand and work at your usual desk and see if that's comfortable. If you sit for long periods and have back pain, try investing in a good chair. A “cheap” chair for €100 isn’t going to solve the problem. If you’re on a tight budget, I would probably recommend the MARKUS chair from IKEA.

Cloth and mesh are your friends. Fuck the pleather shit! Edit: my current chair is a 10y old Markus form IKEA. I bought a new one recently as the old one is kinda dirty looking now but it still functions! New one was nearly $100 cheaper than the original purchase.
