Advice: Build 1: X5 (new) and GoPro 10 or Build 2: X3(new) and Ace2 Pro(new) - Exclusively Underwater Use

TLDR: Definitely the X5 (or even the X4 Air) over the Ace Pro 2. X5 is way better image quality over the X3. As the X5 has two Type-1/1.28 sensors (75mm^2 area) with 8K 360 video. When you crop that down to 16:9 aspect ratio that is somewhere between 4K and 2.7K video resolution). The X3 has Type-1/

Gopro12 vs insta 360x4 air

Years ago, I got a Insta360 X2 as a gift and it quickly replaced my GoPro Hero 9. I then upgraded to a X4 and Ace Pro and I still use the X4 90% of the time. The X4 Air is superior to my X4, bigger/better sensors, field replaceable lenses, lighter weight (the X4/X5 are 200g, but I liked how the X2 w

Diving

TLDR: If it is only cae diving then I think a traditional action camera like DJI Osmo Action 5 or 6, Ace Pro 1 or 2, , or GoPro Hero 12/13 will be better in that order. Longer explanation I own a Insta360 X2, X4 and Ace Pro. So the X4 is a 360 camera that captures a 8K 360 that can be cropped to a 1

What do you guys use for taking videos while riding?

You could literally use anything. I’ve used 360s, action cams, phones, drones, etc. It all comes out looking cool. The quality of it will obviously depend on your editing and videography skills and the better camera you get, the better your videos will be. Although, that doesn’t mean spending a lot

Fun with the Bay ST in the wind and rain

It’s a 360 camera attached to a pole that mounts right behind where I sit. The camera (insta360 one x2) does a really good job at painting out the pole to give the floating effect.

Is it worth to have have an Insta360 for capturing rides, occasionally?

I use the X2 for a few years now. My feelings are mixed. First of all, the "don't need to care about the angles" is not really true because even in 360 mode (you can use it in a normal action cam mode as well), the image will be distorted around the edges of the frame. And I am not talking about clo

$199 Akaso 360 review

Hi I haven’t done a side by side with x2 but this one has two 1/2.0 inch sensors. Insta360’s advantage is the app (both mobile and desktop) which is more sophisticated and has more advanced features than Akaso’s app. Akaso’s app is similar to Kandao’s.

My usecase for the OSMO360

Hi, well mounting can be a problem. On gravel roads it can get bumpy. Tried out several options but it comes loose in time. Most of the time I have it on a small selfiestick and put it in my backpocket. Sometimes with the selfiestick in a handlebar bag where I can easily grab it. I used to have a In

Which Camera for Matterport + iPhone?

I've been using insta360's with Matterport for years. X1 worked fine. X2 works fine. I purchased a RS1. It overheats (disconnects) and it's a pain to shoot a home as it gets to a point where I have to shut it down, wait 10 or so minutes and then shoot about 10 more pics before I have to shut it down
