Drivers for INTEL DC3217IYE

Intel says it does https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/71275/intel-nuc-kit-dc3217iye/specifications.html I mean for 20 bucks it's worth just trying and then using the auto intel-driver-installer utility to see what it finds. It probably just uses the generic legacy Intel HD driver pa

Planning to get a NUC8i7HVK (hades canyon); is it still worth today compared to other mini pc with Ryzen APU in the same 400-800 dollars range?

I've got one. It has better drivers on Linux. The windows one, due to the hybrid amd/Intel apu became unsupported in about 2022. I was dual booting up until a few months ago when I bought a Legion laptop. I'll be installing Ubuntu server on the hades-canyon to use as my server, the apu will be pheno

People who bought a mini PC — was it worth it?

Started with Intel NUC Gaming Series since 2016 and I am still on it. Never went back to a regular desktop. Started withSkull Canyon, Hades Canyon, Phantom Canyon Last two years i have switched to the ASUS NUC 14 Performance with the RTX 4070m (since the technology is sold by Intel to ASUS). The cas

AMD and Intel Just Teamed Up To DESTROY EVERYONE!

Everyone always forgets about the Intel and AMD collab for the Hades Canyon NUC. That was a cool computer with an awesome skull logo

Bad year for Synology users

While all my media files are on my Synology NAS, I have a Hades Canyon Intel NUC running Windows 10 for Plex. The NUC and NAS are both connected to the same router via Ethernet. The NUC is silent and it's been quite reliable. The only outages I have are when Plex freezes remote connections to force

Are Teams Rooms on Windows + Logitech equipment 100% reliable for anyone?

We have MTRs with Logitech + IntelNUC kits. Using them for years. Rock solid devices, I’d have no hesitation recommending them to someone. Out of the hundreds we’ve deployed, we’ve maybe lost a couple full kits due to hardware faults? (Eg a couple of bars dying, a couple of the touch controllers). W

Considering trying a MiniPC + eGPU

I'm using an Intel NUC (Hades Canyon) with an eGPU (RTX 4060) over Thunderbolt as the base for mine. The Hades Canyon has it's own custom AMD dGPU and while relatively capable, it was limited when moving to the more demanding games, so I thought I'd try the 4060 to see how it would work. I'm still b

Hades Canyon (suddenly) won't boot when attached to 4K TV via HDMI

I love the Hades Canyon NUCs but they do have some weird quirks with displays. Some of my displays won't sync at 60Hz and need to be set to 59Hz to get a picture. Try going to the Monitor settings (not Display, the old school one from Device Manager) then List Modes and try selecting a different ref

Can my Hardware run JellyFinn decently?

A modern system doing the same task would likely use the same idle, but not nearly as much when actually doing something. I still recommend you look into getting a used intel NUC. Something like this: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/89188/intel-nuc-kit-nuc6i5syk/specifications.h

Linux and BIOS struggles with a D54250WYK

I own this onehttps://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/products/sku/83257/intel-nuc-kit-nuc5i3ryh/specifications.htmland installed CachyOS for the snappiness. Works flawless and even runs games like Hollow Knight Silksong, but since it's a rolling release, I don't know if its a good idea for a server.
