audio rabbit hole is the most expensive detour in the desk setup game, glad you made it out alive. jbl 305p mkii + ws 6.2 combo is a legit jump over most prosumer setups. the 305s have that slightly scooped mid that people either love or tolerate, but paired with a real sub it fills in the low end n

need help choosing studio monitors

Yamahas are good. For the price, I also like JBL, for example their 305P mk II. You can add a subwoofer later if you feel you’re missing out on the bass.

Monitors/speakers for guitar and piano/synth plugins?

i ran into this same thing when i switched from a soundbar. the kali lp-6 v2 are solid for the price - they translate well for guitar plugins and pianoteq. another option worth checking is the JBL 305P MkII which have a bit more low end for synths. your room matters too so maybe look at some isolati

Speaker Ideas? - Audio Interface used as well (sometimes)

You shouldn’t have sold the JBL 305, you should have added the LSR310s subwoofer to that to give it the mind altering bass you were missing… oh well. If you need to change…

First impression of Roseselsa Photon Pro

First, I apologize for my English; I'm using a translator. I bought the Photon and the JBL 305, both for my Pixel 8 Pro. The JBLs are more bass-heavy. They're better for club music. The Photons, on the other hand, separate vocals from music nicely. In my opinion, they're better for movies, YouTube,

Studio monitor help for practice?

The JBL 305P are probably the best ones but they really only thrive if you add a subwoofer that can go down to 27.5 hz too and that gets expensive really quick. (the JBL LSR 310 S is a brilliant choice though) Don't bother with a subwoofer that can't go to 27.5 hz, it's not worth it I would probably

I’m wondering what studio monitors/speakers everyone has

I personally use the JBL 305P MkII in my studio, they are loud, the sound is very clear, and the bass is strong for their size. Simple to connect to any setup, and they fit well in any studio. I’ve been using them for the past few years and never had any issues, and I honestly haven’t found anything
