Editors, What kind of speakers are you using to mix audio with.

You can for sure get a pair of professionally-decent audio monitors for $300-$500 US. They won't be great and I wouldn't use them to finish audio for Netflix or whatever, but for most corporate work, YouTube, and lots of other stuff, there are a bunch of good options. Here's a slight edit of a post

New bookshelf shelfie

JBL 306p studio monitors. They have the 10” subwoofer under the desk as well. I’m kind of a sound nut so I’ll give the long answer if anyone is interested: these were the cheap option for studio monitors but they give a pure reference sound that gives you exactly what was mixed in the studio. Almost

Looking for a pair of decent audio speakers to edit sound

I think you can get by with less-expensive audio monitors. Or you could get a pair of the JBLs mentioned below along with a decent matching JBL sub for about US$720, but personally I'd hold off on the sub. Here's what I wrote a month or so ago: ===== You can for sure get a pair of professionally-dec

How does a better expensive monitors change things?

I got the JBL 306P and they sound so much better than the over ears I’d used previously.

I am looking for smallish speakers.

For $800 you could get a WiiM Ultra used as a preamp with JBL 306P v2 powered speakers. That would be a banger of a second system.

Recommendation for near field monitors

If you can at all, hear the monitors in person before you buy. People's tastes and ears vary. For example, some people like the Yamaha HS5, yet I just don't get along with it. So perhaps use the recommendations here, including my own, as a guide to narrow your search. I'll recommend a couple monitor

Now that it’s been a while, is there a clear winner in the "FRFR Cab Wars" amongst Helix users? (Line 6 Powercab+ vs Fender Tone Master FR vs Headrush FRFR vs Positive Grid Spark Cab vs Laney LFR vs Friedman ASC/ASM vs EVH Hypersonic vs others)

i HEARD bad things about Headrush FRFR. Being a simple PA speaker branded as some special power amp I do believe studio monitors are the best solution so far. No one has created a decent 12 inch cabinet that is below 600 dollars I'd buy a 8 inch speaker monitor like JBL 306 8 inch or Yamaha HS8 but
