The semi-auto gatekeeping has officially gone too far

A few years back I owned a Gaggia Classic and a Sette 270Wi. I only kept them for about a year before realising I just didn't enjoy the experience as much as I had hoped I would. Especially the Gaggia was a frustrating machine to use for me, even with a PID and a bunch of other mods. Then for the ne

How do you handle coffee for a small office without overspending?

A super automatic is the way to go. You can get a low-volume unit like a Jura E8 for under $3k or step up to a Z10 for under $5k. You can also look to lease a unit from a local shop, will cost more in the long term but may dampen the initial blow.

Office Espresso Machine [$1,800-$2,200]

This one is specifically made for offices. It’s push button not touch screen and has larger reservoirs for water and grounds so less cleaning/maintenance. We had a different more residential jura model before this one and the E8 is holding up much better Edited again - I misremembered the model - we

Kavos aparatai namuose

Turim Jura E8 beveik 4 metai. Jokių problemų. Brangiausiai kainuoja vandens filtrai.

Which coffee or espresso machine have you used consistently and genuinely love?

Jura E8. I thought my husband was insane when he brought this home. Genuinely makes great coffee. I neither know or care about the science behind it, but same beans and water as my old coffee maker yet a far superior product. We’ve had it 3 years and it is used at an absolute minimum 2x a day. I’ve

What’s the best “luxury” purchase you’ve made that was actually worth every penny?

When my wife who loves coffee was looking at the automatic machines at first was hesitant to get the Jura E8 bc of the cost ($2,700) and it has paid for itself many times over. Even my parents ended up getting one and they thought it was ridiculous to pay for it.

Would you say owning an expensive coffee machine that only you will use at home worth it?

100%. Getting a fresh cup whenever I want one is amazing and the ability to make espresso or other drinks simply makes it better. I have a Jura E8

New tiered loyalty program…

I bought a refurbished Jura E8 for $1300 a year or two ago and looking at this math, I think I’m out of the Starbucks game. Even with a Stumptown subscription, barista grade oatmilk, and expensive maintenance products, we are clearly, clearly coming out ahead
