Hi I'm Logan, owner of Panama Sound a small home-based project studio. AMA!
Well, it's funny but I don't have any acoustic treatment here. Some people think that's crazy, but this also has to serve as a livable home. I have Kali Audio LP-6 monitors and I use Sennheiser HD600 for headphones.... but the secret weapon is the Avantone Mixcube (it reveals all the places in the m

What is the best studio monitor money can buy for a small bedroom studio?
Kali Audio Lp6 is not the best money can buy but an incredible bang for your buck in quality of sound and versatility. They have a ton of configuration for fitting small and weird shaped rooms.

Recs for bookshelf active reference studio monitor?
I use a set of Kali Audio LP6 and love them. Good bass, nice and tight sound, has room correction options.

Which 8" monitor is the best?
To be clear, I am not talking about distortion. I am talking about directivity. Which is frankly too much for me to cover properly in a Reddit comment. So you can reread what I wrote above and look up loudspeaker directivity yourself if you're actually interested in the topic. This doesn't really ha

Advice on studio monitors for guitar and bass?
I find Kali Audio LP-6 to be a good deal. They sound great, are built very well, front ported, have great adjustments on the back to fit your room and are geuinely not that expensive considering what they offer.

How do i get into making me own music
7 years into producing here :) See you got Ableton, great choice. I'm still surprised by how good that software is every now and again. Learn everything that's in there. You need to know every tool in your toolbox. Just look at the audio effects, throw each one on a few different sound sources. List

First Portable PA
Not a fan of the eon's either, personally. Is there a reason you're needing battery powered? Honestly if full range and clear is the highest priority and you're only playing to a room of 20ish people, you could consider a decent but cheap pair of studio monitors. The Kali audio lp-6 are a great bang

Audio Monitor Recommendations
I have Kali LP6's, v1. Great pair. Love the subs I added as I do enjoy more bass for music enjoyment. It certainly doesn't hurt when playing tones that have more bass in them. I think you'll pretty much see Kali, Adam Audio, and Yamaha mentioned every time this question pops up.

Studio monitors sound thin compared to headphones
Yeah I kept seeing people say how great they were ... guess not. Stop relying on what people claim about speakers based on their personal anecdotal evidence. Look at objective measurements instead to evaluate speakers. The lack of a crossover in the HS4 resulted poor directivity, which could be part
