First stereo Hi-Fi Setup

In general, you can't go wrong with KEF speakers and a Yamaha amplifier 👍 My question is: what's your source? A PC? Streamer? If you don't have one, I'd recommend the WiiM Amp Ultra that has everything you need, including a good streaming platform. For speakers, I'm not sure the Q350 is really an up

Going to a 5.1 system with LS50 metas?

I'd say as long as you keep with Kef, the Q6 should do well. just be aware that like 50% of sound will go through the center for movies. even a single Q3 is great value. I run a Q350 for mine and it's great.

Q4 pricing and whether they're a step up from q350 and q150

The Q1 (successor to Q150) has the 5.25" driver while the Q3 (successor to Q350) has the 6.25" driver. The Q4 has the 5.25" driver and thus is closer to the Q1. That said, the meta series includes a few refinements that were not in the Q350 or Q150 and neither the drivers nor the crossovers are iden

Looking for a clean ~2.1 audiophilic [computer] office sound system.

Grab a pair of Kef q350 on clearance from Best Buy for $400, wait for the rsl speedwoofer 10e to come back in stock for $330 and grab a nice integrated amp like the Yamaha a-s301 for $380. This will kick ass and be way better than any of the “kits” you’ve been looking at.

I'm legit teary-eyed over here (new Q350's)

Good deal! Last November I demoed the Q350, Polk R200, ELAC UB52, and I thought those Q350’s sounded the best to me. Made me realize I really liked the KEF sound signature so much I ended up building an entire home theater around Concerto metas and the meta series. But like you, I saw some Q350’s BB

Center Channel for q350s?

The KEF coaxial speakers do very well placed on their sides due to their excellent vertical dispersion. This characteristic is kind of unique to the coaxial design. I agree that the most cost effective solution is another q350, placed on its side if space is an issue. IMHO the q350 is a bit better c

Are these speakers worth it?

I had KEF LSX and is not league aboves nothing, the bass reflex was awful and correct it just produces a very thin sound. KEF Q150 with a propper amp are better than LSX. R1 are leagues aboves Q350, Q300, LSX and Q150 KEF LSX are an option only if size is a thing

What’s the real difference between a $30,000 home entertainment system and a $150,000 one?

It’s kind of wild that in 2026 I can name several sub‑$1k speakers — JBL Stage A170/A190, ELAC Uni‑Fi 2.0, KEF Q150/Q350 — that have well‑controlled directivity yet people still hand out “treat first reflections” like it’s an acoustic law. You don’t need a lab, just a speaker with good dispersion, a

Beginner help - Klipsch the sevens

I had to consider showroom models before too. For 700 euro, the Sevens are honestly a solid deal considering they retail for quite a bit more. The concrete walls in your apartment will help with bass containment for your neighbors. If you want to explore other options within your budget, i'd look at

can you suggest balanced speakers with bit bass heavy hit within 1000$?

My biggest regret is ever buying new speakers (KEF Q350, KC92, LS50 Metas). The Metas were the last new speaker i ever bought because with some exceptions the market price for used speakers in mint condition is about 50% MSRP and very often much less. Go look at Aurum Cantus V7F i just got them for
