Worth getting a proper mouse or keypad early on?
Oh I bought most of this as an ST1/2 so can't perfectly remember. Mouse - Logitek G502 hero. Went for wired. Must have onboard memory because of NHS BS. Mic - Hollyland Lark M2 Wireless... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CRKY7RSN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I tried a Bluetooth headset first, but again NHS BS

Best sounding/most silent OEM switches for the K5 MAX?
Oh, well, in that case. I just bought the K17 Max with the browns, and I quite enjoy their feel and even sound, although Keychron's no-gasket design makes it a bit echoish. I also like laptop keys, the resistance is pretty similar.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - May 15, 2026
Hello. I’ve been shopping around for a low-profile mechanical keyboard with a 96% layout that is: wired, RGB backlit, and has quiet but tactile switches. I am currently using a Matias Wired Aluminum, and I love it, but I am a bit of a hard typer and its pretty beat up after 5 years. My budget is $15

MX alternatives - keyboards for multiple devices
If you don’t want the MX keys S, which I just bought despite having a couple of dozen mechanical keyboards, you might way to check out the Keychron K17 Max. It’s low profile, mechanical, hot swappable, and of hybrid aluminum/ plastic construction. It has tri-mode connectivity. It is also VIA/QMK con

Who knew that keyboard shopping was a blackhole?
My first mechanical keyboard was a JLab and I hated it. I just received a Keychron k17 Max with red switches and it blows the JLab out of the water.

Nuphy sent me a broken keyboard, now wants me to buy a second keyboard
Don't know about Keychron's warranty, and certainly not in Europe/Germany, but in the US, I've never had a problem with them. In fact, I'm typing on a low profile K17 Max. It's been great. Hasn't gotten the shine either (yet), which I hate. Can't say the same for my Keychron M3 Mini steel mouse thou
