What do you think of this keyboard?
This one is easy so far, if their web app is hosted at QMK.something it's the scam. If you see "usevia.app" or "vial.rocks" it's at least emulating QMK. Emulating? Yes, there are proprietary boards that are "VIA compatible" or "QMK compatible" that have ported the VIA module to run on top of an emul

Keychron V1 Wireless Keys are double typing
Re "The firmware change log said it "1. Fixed key double press issue caused by snap action."": It isn't clear if that is really the reason For doubling down on treating the symptoms, Keychron has also at the same time changed the default key debounce time from the already high 20 ms to a whopping 50

Inherited Glorious GMMK 3 Pro
I have the CSTM 80 and the removable plates are pretty neat idea. I recently built a Weikav Nut65 that I posted a review of here a few days ago that has the ball catch release mechanism and pogo connectors that allow the PCB to magnetically snap to the base and be connected to the built in batteries

Unpopular opinion: the V1 at $74 makes the Q1 Max at $199 almost impossible to justify. I ran the numbers.
The Q are really hard to justify, except maybe the Q4 is still a bit of a bargain. I still prefer the J2 to any of the Q or V lines. The Keychron design language that makes then leave out the bottom key in the navigation column in the V1/Q1 kind of ticks me off. Moving the column over 1/4u and putti

If I want a single keycap printed for the 'ctrl' button on a keychron q1 max, what are my purchasing options/
the q1 max doesn't actually have an integral 'end' key and its very difficult for me to write without one. Ah. Yes, I have the same problem. This is why I got the J2 rather than the V1 or Q1. Or you could go with the Monsgeek M1 or the Kiiboom Loop75 or any of the other complete exploded 75% boards

Bought Q1 V2 - have I been sent the Q1 V1?
Re "...In Keychron Launcher ... Keychron Q1V1 ANSI Knob ... Have I been sent the wrong board?": Most likely They can be identified by the USB product ID: Q1 V1 ANSI knob: 0x0101 Q1 V2 ANSI knob: 0x0107 (The USB vendor ID is always 0x3434 for Keychron, though apparently 0x362D for their 'Lemokey' bra

Looking for replacement keycaps
I have a set from XVX. PBT double shot shine through, Cherry profile. They're perfectly ok, good coverage for my preferred layout, US ANSI on a ISO TKL board (most sets do not have a third AND second row 'pipe/backslash'-key, normal-width variants of the key directly above (US) ANSI enter). But, one

Silent mechanical for the office
I use a keychron V1 max with Akko penguins, tuned stabs, and a thin neoprene layer in the case to deaden the board. To be honest, it’s mushy and I hate it, but it’s light weight and infinitely better than a membrane keyboard. A Neo75 cu would not be a board I’d want to use for commuting. If you want

Good TKL that isn’t a Keychron Hi everyone, I ordered a 100% V6-D1-AZ Keychron and absolutely love the typing experience. But it’s just too large, so I ordered a V1-D1 (TKL version of the one I have) and the quality is much lower. Keychron customer support insists it’s the exact same board with a di
