How come old devices and products (80s-00s) are so efficient and long lasting unlike products nowadays?
They do less. Let's use klipsch speakers as an example. I have a pair of klipsch kg 5.5 speakers from the 90s. They're amazing speakers. They are also just speakers. Amps, dacs, streamers, wifi, and Bluetooth are all in separate devices. The new Klipsch number series - the fives, the sevens, and the

Tokie kaip Klipsch The

Love for the 8 inch woofer
8" has always been the sweet spot for punch. If/when my ls50 wireless crap out I think klipsch the nines will be next.

Still Young, Should I Wait To Figure Out What I Want When I Have A House?
This comment is spot on. You’re about to be very busy and mobile in the military. When I was in everyone had Walkmen and headphones and it was tapes or CDs. Been a long time now 😃 In my opinion, investing in some nice headphones with a good source that is small and mobile will let you hear great mus

Maybe i spend too much time in this space
Preordered Klipsch Nines II a month ago and patiently waiting. Though my space can’t even compare. Looks and I’m sure sounds great.

Home Office Speaker - Desktop Placement / Nearfield Listening
I guess my concern was longevity of active style speakers (although most of that is poor reviews of built-in amps on Klipsch the Nines). I had kind of thought studio style equipment would be overkill for personal use only and very little "mixing"? I am sure it is just marketing talk, but many of the

LSX II → LS50 Wireless II upgrade? Better option around $1700 USD / $2400 CAD for music in a 150 sq ft room?
You're right. Then Klipsch nines FTW. Loud and extension down to 34hz. Not quite full range but will fill that room to the brim.

Advice requested for a Difficult / Reflective Room with a low shelf
I dunno how feasible this is, but making the walls not parallel will make a huge difference. If not, retractable curtains will make a bigger difference than any speaker choice. You may want that anyway for daytime watching. An area rug in front of the TV will also improve things quite a bit. I would

Amazon has the sevens and the nines by klipsch on sale….a pretty significant sale And those speakers are plug and go…no need for an amp

Please help me finding one speaker for living-room!
Look at a pair of wireless, powered stereo speakers: Kef LSX or LS50, PSB Alpha IQ, Klipsch Sevens/Nines, SVS Prime… your classical music deserves a true stereo image! Save up for a subwoofer too.
