Bitter Sweet
Amazon's real market advantage is the near monopoly they have on content. They lock a lot of authors into exclusive agreements. KOReader will breath new life into your kindle. It has no store, which I see as a plus because I don't get suggestions, etc. Everything is sideloaded using Calibre. I repla

Just got my first Kobo - kind of regretting it after years with Kindle
I switched from Kindle Oasis to Kobo Libra Colour and will try to answer some of your questions. You can change the screen zones from the settings, I can't remember what the default was but I have the whole middle part for the menus not just the bottom of the screen, and you can drag from the top to

X4 Colored Next?!
I have a Kobo Libra Colour and honestly, I got it because of the hype of the color e-ink display, but the tradeoff is not worth it for me. The screen is way dimmer than a regular black and white one, forcing you to have the frontlight on almost all the time, and the screen has this weird blurry-ness

Anyone else using color e-reader only to read novels? Just because you wanna see the cover in color?
Me. I have a kobo libra colour as my only working e reader and so far only read novels on it. Love the colour covers.

Why are B/W button devices dying out?
Boox Go7 B&W is a really super device. Maybe nobody wants to compete? đ All Pocketbook (except Verse Lite) have buttons. Verse, Verse Pro, Inkpad 4, Era. On paper the Kobo Libra Colour, The Boox Go7 Colour, and the colour PocketBooks do black & white as well as a dedicated B&W reader (300ppi) so it'

Unpopular: love the Kobo Clara Colour (100% recommend)
While that opinion may be unpopular on reddit, it doesn't reflect reality. The color Kobos are extremely popular among us that don't give a fig about what people on social media think. I'd be willing to bet the sales numbers Kobo has been getting from them are bigger than with their previous black a

Leaving Kindle, advice for new e-reader
Why ask ChatGPT about it? It canât tell you anything your own research wonât conclude. AI complaint aside, I personally have a Kobo Libra Colour and I love it. I picked it because it has buttons, a good amount of storage, and a good size screen. I use it for manga and ebooks. Itâs easy to sideload c

Companion eReader?
I really like my Kobo Libra Color. If you only read books and donât care about color then the Kobo Clara BW is fantastic.

I sold my Kobo Libra Color and got the Kobo Clara BW. I couldn't be more happier.
I'm convinced the Libra Colour is selling like it is because a lot of people hadn't used an e-reader before it. Plenty who have used b/w e-readers like yourself come to that same conclusion, that the inferior actual reading experience (KLC on right KL2 on left) isn't in any way worth seeing the book

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry
I went from a Kindle Oasis and Paperwhite to a Kobo Libra Colour, and I love it. The color isn't anything amazing, but I really enjoy reading on it and it's big enough that I can read comics (though I do sometimes have to zoom in). i think the text on the Kobo Clara Colour would be too small for com
