Switched to Linux Mint after using Windows for almost a decade: Great OS!

Even a 1215u from 2022 chokes on the telemetry, that laptop ran perfectly until this year then I started getting barely 2.5 hours run time and it was slow as hell to use, even after a clean install. Switched it to Linux Mint in early July, and magically the performance issues disappeared and my batt...

keys on my laptop keyboard stops working after a few hours on, but works fine if I restart the computer.

If the keys work fine after a reboot and only fail after a few hours, that points to heat or the keyboard controller firmware glitching not RAM. On the IdeaPad Gaming 3i, this usually comes down to: Thermal creep: the internal keyboard ribbon or controller gets warm during gaming, starts dropping si...

Exhausted with Win11. Another update led to unresponsive laptop

Even on HP and Acer laptops it tends to work well now. My Lenovo IdeaPad 3i went from 2.5 hours battery life on Windows 11 to 9+ hours battery life on Linux Mint, no joke the laptop is 2+ years old and the difference is night and day.

I want to get a samsung galaxy tablet for work and also use it as a second screen for my chromebook

Be careful: Touchscreen and pen support are often two different technologies in the same display, and many devices support one or the other but not both. I'm using a Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3 and a Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3i (Windows11), both with touchscreen and pen support, but finding the right pens f...
