What I'm most excited for!

I'm definitely getting that controller. Valve might tempt me into buying the Frame. The Machine I'm not really sold on. I'd love the idea of this tiny portable PC, but it would actually need to be an upgrade over my current Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.But I'm not really sure if it will actually be (signific

Bluetooth dongle worked flawlesly

Yes. It's actually a necessity on new Lenovo laptops- because Lenovo Legion Pro 5, equipped with a Mediatek MT7921 Wi-Fi card and running Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) on kernel version 6.1.0-40-amd64, cannot initialize its Wi-Fi under any major Linux distribution as of November 2025, despite lat

Bad choice for laptop?

I own this computer. It’s been rough and cannot recommend it for Linux. The power management is not good and the battery life is really bad (yeah I tuned everything except turning off the nvidia card in the bios). The hybrid graphics are hardwired so AMD runs laptop screen, nvidia external. The nvid

How is this game on PC?

The only time I got significant stuttering was at the very end during the boss fight, and that was with everything maxxed out. Lenovo Legion Pro with a 3070. And at that point I'd been playing for 5 hours straight and my laptop could have cooked an egg.

Which Laptop

Okay, some things to consider. GPU: Don't even consider the 5050 for this type of stuff. CPU: You may be sacrificing some stuff with the CPU, but even then, the base clock of the ryzen 7 is higher from what I'm checking. X-Plane is limited by the flight model mostly being single-core (for tech reaso

I bought a Lenovo laptop with a built in Oculink port ask me any questions.

If my legion pro had an oculink I would have same setup, including llano cooler but bought a K12 mini with no ram and nvme, already had them, then bought a DEG1, already had a 1500w PSU, bought a 2nd hand RTX3090 FE for AI stuff, the 12gb vram on my Legion 4080 just simply can't keep up with the new

Does The Msi Vector 16 HX Last Long?

Lol you expect lenovo to last long??🤣🤣🤣. Me and my friend from USA we bought Legion 5 pro at the same time around End of 2021 and 2022 and guess what both of our device died at 3 years mark. Lenovo is the trashiest brand ever. Legion /Log sub will always full of dead laptop post. Whole Gen6/Gen7 dev

Laptop

What would you suggest for primarily 2d work? Do you really need dedicated GPU? I was considering the Lenovo Legion 5 pro from Costco but it has horrible battery life for field work. 2nd choice was the hp omni iIntel Core™ Ultra 7 258V 8-Core Integrated 32 GB and 1 TB, but Intel® Arc™ 140V GPU (16GB

Bro Saw it Coming

Bought a new Lenovo this past summer for heavy virtualization for coursework and some gaming. If I want to upgrade now (64 gb ram from 32 gb) it’s expensive! Looking at the price, the suitable Crucial Ram for my device (2x32gb) is $900 CAD or not in stock.. For ref: Lenovo Legion 5i Pro - Gen 10 Ult
