Two amazing deals - which one do I keep?
As a person who has both, yep, legion go s is defo better choice. Steam deck is great, but bigger screen and more power - better fps/graphics and less eye strain for longer game sessions

Made a pitstop after a work pickup to bless a new game.
Thats on a Legion Go S Z1E 32GB ram model. it runs insanely well on that, can do 120hz and keeps steady around like 80fps. Can probably squeeze out more fps if I drop the graphics down but it ran so well on the default settings I just left it lol

Which handheld would be best value?
I personally would go with the Legion Go S. The extra ram should give it longer relevancy, big screen, official SteamOS support.

Anyone came back to SD OLED after other more powerful handhelds?
Haven’t gone back yet BUT! Had a Steam Deck LCD. Gave it to a family member because I got a Legion Go for a very low price. Loved the screen. Did not love the ergonomics. Installed SteamOS on it as soon as the Legion Go S came out and Steam supported it officially. Ergonomics continued to irk me. Th

First time Go S owner(32g). What are some quality of life tips I should know about?
In addition to u/robbiththpenguin's remarks, I recommend the codec fix to improve the sound through the speakers: Legion GO S Steam OS Audio FIX (pipewire EQ) : r/LegionGo Also, in Steam Button > Settings > Display > Adjust Display Colors, you can bump up the color saturation if you want them to pop

Which is the better option
Get the legion go s. The 7 inch display is way too small, if you haven’t seen it in person you should go to a Best Buy and look. The main criticism of the legion go S is the battery life but if you primarily play at home you can just play plugged in and if you take it on the go you can literally jus

Legion Go 2 (OLED VRR) vs ROG Ally X (LCD VRR): Is the gap as big as we think?
100%. I returned my Rog Xbox Ally X due to the screen size just not doing it for me (as well as the Windows OS just being a pain for handheld still). As soon as I used an 8" screen on the Legion Go S, I immediately felt the same. 8" is perfect size for all games without being so big it doesn't feel

Which handheld to get??
If you want bang for your buck, I’d go for a used ROG Ally X (the Z1E variant, not the Xbox Ally X). If you want OLED/best screen I’d go for the Legion Go 2 (maybe also used?). However DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get the Xbox All (non-X)! It’s basically just a repackaged SteamDeck chip and the device it

If your Steam Deck Broke, Would You Buy Another One or a Different Handheld?
I, too, side graded to a Legion Go S SteamOS. For me, it is the Steam Deck 2. The same thing, but better in every way. The bigger, higher resolution screen makes a huge difference to me, as does the much better performance. It can run everything at 1080p, so I regularly plug it into the TV. When I d

To those with both of these, which one do you prefer, personally?
I'm actually in a similar situation rn. I scored a good deal on the XAX, but I miss Steam OS and the 16:10 screen ratio of my Deck. The XAX screen looks small even against my SD LCD. I have to squint often to see stuff clearly on screen. I know I could install Bazzite on it but it wouldn't fix the h
