Looks like Thinkpad L14, Lenovo’s “budget” Thinkpad will cost the same as Framework Laptop 13 Pro for identical CPU, SSD and RAM specs.
That's exactly why I'm happy when Costco appears to have decent models. Back in 2023 I got a Legion Pro 5i for $1k that's been amazing.

Is the gap really that big?
The 9i has tb5, asus rog scar also have tb5. Next year 7 pro will also have tb5. Sure this laptop ain't cheap, but mini pc with ultra 9 275hx and a 5080 are about the same if not more expensive (supply and demand).
