Are t480 really this good?
The advantage of the T480 vs the 14 inch models coming after it is the external battery and the two SODIMM slots. Two SODIMM slots will make a brief re-appearance in the T14 Gen 5 / P14s Gen 5, some T14 Gen 6 has them as well and that's it (but of course the LPCAMM2 slot in the Gen 7 is far superior

ThinkPad T14 (Ultra 5 238V, 32GB soldered) worth it long-term?
Build quality of Lenovo isn't as great as it once wise. I had a T14 gen 5 and it felt cheap and had issues with the touchpad. Opted for the X1carbon with a dedicated fingerprint sensor, much better. Also no errors with the trackpad. But all at added cost. It addition, win 11 is absolutely garbage an

Any opinions on the T14 Gen 5 AMD?
I have this laptop, originally purchased with the lousy screen. A month ago, I bought the OLED panel assembly from Lenovo and upgraded it. I love it now, but had to set the screen to 60hz to save battery life. IMO, the battery life on this model has always been lousy, and the OLED definitely uses mo
