Please help me not waste money

The Levoit Core 300 provides 154 CFM... at 54.5 decibels. So in practice it's going to be turned down to Medium, where it produces roughly 80-90 CFM. Since they're trying to address dust (which requires high airflow) I'm not sure that will be enough? A box fan will produce 400 CFM at the highest fan

My life over a mask.

Hi, I have a Levoit running in my room 24/7 (which is fairly compact). I think the core 300? Idk Its the medium sized one, not the bed side table one at all times. If I could afford a better one I def would switch.

Levoit Filters Question / Pricing

Right, so pollutants are VOCs i believe, but mold spores are not. Mold spores can be trapped in the white Hepa material of the filter. So you don't need toxin absorber for mold spores. Any Hepa purifier will capture mold spores as far as I know. So most cost effective way to help with that...is get

You're probably getting this a lot, but: recommendation for a bedroom air filter focusing on allergies?

Avoid the Levoit Core 300 like the plague. Get a Coway Airmega ap-1512hh and be done with it.

Best air purifier for NYC apartment?

I've got a Coway AirMega in the LR and it's great. In the master BR I've got a Levoit Vital 100 which someone gifted to me and it works well enough. I have a Levoit Core 300 in the smaller bedroom; the space is within the specs but it feels a little small if I need to keep it running on medium... a

How do Air Purifiers actually work for you?

I rescued a beagle not knowing I was allergic to short haired male dogs. Developed a BAD cough for 3 years the doctors couldn't figure it out I was miserable. I tried allergy shots that were $1,000 every 2 weeks, didnt work. Took the advise from a doctor and got an air purifier, started with a levoi

My Levoit CORE 300s spews stale/acrid air

There are different types of mould. You might be right though. I've a few Core 300's, and then I upgraded by adding Coway 1500's and a mighty mega 1512. Both good units. Despite having a 1500 in a bedroom though, the room started to get a distinct odd smell a few weeks back. Some coving around the c

I have heard that levoit is not that good but for this price I plan on buying 3

You can't really compare the two. The Austin HealthMate Plus Jr. CADR isn't published, but it's believed to be about 120 CFM, lower than the Levoit 300. But it has at least 6.5 lbs of Activated Carbon, Potassium Iodide Impregnated Carbon and Zeolite. It's much more than a particle filter, it's "desi

Bedroom office - work from home. Which purifier do you recommend?

The coverage rating is wrong; 1,066 sq. ft. is at 1 Air Change per Hour (ACH) which is too low. Generally you want at least 4.8-5 ACH. Even then, I would consider CADRs first. The Levoit Core 300-P has a top Smoke CADR of 143 CFM. This means the largest room size for effective use would be 214.5 sq.
