Is it worth keeping? Levoit Core 600S-P

In Auto mode, it rarely runs because the number nevers [sic] go up to trigger it. I can't run it on turbo all the time; it is loud and consumes power like a beast. This is your problem. See the AHAM 2/3 rule. In a 600 sq. ft. space (with an 8 ft. ceiling), you need bare minimum Clean Air Delivery Ra

Very quiet yet high performance purifier advice?

The room size HouseFresh used for testing the Levoit Core 600S-P is 728 cubic feet. With an 8 ft. ceiling, this only 91 square feet. 400 sq. ft. is going to take much longer to clean (if it ever catches up) on low airflow speeds.

Air Purifier Recommendation

Thanks for the message and kind words! Not had a chance to test any Electrolux or AEG (as they seem to be sold here in the UK) I generally try to suggest that most people stick with the main brands that have been making air purifiers for many, many years... Levoit, Winix, Coway, SmartAir, Alen, IQai

I need some suggestions for an air purifier to run inside my apartment while doing pottery on the porch

Do not trust ChatGPT. It's wrong on several fronts yet again on purifiers. When sizing purifiers, use AHAM's 2/3 rule. In your case, the bare minimum CADRs for a 444 sq. ft. space (with an 8 ft. high ceiling) would be 296 CFM. The PuroAir 400 has CADRs of: Dust: 262 CFM Pollen: 286 CFM Smoke: 236 CF

need an air purifier to try to mitigate chemicals from gas stove/gas dryer, please recommend one!

So gas stoves can definitely release VOCs or other gases, emitting methane even when they're turned off. I'm unsure to what extent gas dryers emit VOCs. Blueair purifiers are Intertek "Zero Ozone" Certified to produce extremely low levels of ozone (concentration limit ≤0.005 ppm). Their "HEPASilent"

Choose between airmega 450 and Philips 4200 for odours

Thank you for your response! Unfortunately the offers here are extremely limited. Just one of the listed products are available here and just two of the brands mentioned. I could get a Levoit core 600s but it makes me confused since the CADR is so low compared to the two I’ve mentioned? Winix sells

EverestAir vs vital 200s

I checked and it's sent from and sold by amazon at least on amazon germany. So shouldnt be any problems returning or with warranty. Not sure with the supplier. Shouldnt it be levoit? I have considered buying two vital 200s but they are pretty expensive here at 244eur while everest is 340 eur. Kinda

Suggestions for overwhelmed first time air purifier customer !!

True HEPA filters, especially the higher grade ones can actually be worse than "HEPA style" filters because the HEPA style filters allows for more airflow while still being able to catch the same small sized particles as the higher grade HEPA filters. Because more air can pass through, they can catc

Between Phillips and Winix

I highly recommend the Winix 5500-2. It replaced my Levoit Core 350, and while I originally thought the Levoit was doing a good job, two major things changed my mind: 1. Levoit was caught lying about their filters. Many Core series filters weren’t actually HEPA, despite being marketed that way. Thei

New study confirms the link between gas stoves and cancer risk: "Risks for the children are [approximately] 4-16 times higher"

Most consumer air purifiers are only designed to filter particles, not gases. Yours mentions "fumes" and "VOCs" briefly on its product page, but it's primarily focused on particles, and appears to give no assurances of capturing the kinds of gases that this post was focused on. https://levoit.com/pr
