finally tried upgrading to 4K

It all depends on your tv. I had a budget TCL tv for years and thought 4K was a gimmick. I then upgraded to an LG C3 OLED and I finally saw what all the fuss was about. It’s a night and day difference with a better tv.

LG OLED suddenly not tolerating .mkv files?

The onboard Plex apps for smart TVs (I only have experience with LG) are hot garbage unless I am streaming over the same WiFi network, and even then it's a bit of a crapshoot. Honestly the ones for Android devices are horrible too. TVs are not very powerful standalone image processors, so if the app

Welcome to a capitalism where YOU pay for THEM promoting to YOU

My LG C3 Oled shows randomly a popup over my subtitles when watching via hdmi: "You have watched 3 hours less tv previous week" like literally over my subtitles for at least 20 seconds and no dismiss button. Back or home button just closes the hdmi connection but the popup remains. I was at the poin

My $1400 LG OLED TV is displaying ads after latest update

I don't agree with this. The webos on my LG C3 is fine. I don't know what bad experiences you have had

Graphical artifact when using Integer+

I too noticed that on my LG C3, it's very annoying lol, not sure if there is an overscan option. And no, I refuse to update the firmware because TV firmware updates are almost always garbage

PlayStation CEO Hermen Hulst says single-player Sony games won’t come to PC going forward | VGC

Oh, I'm the same way. From 2014 to the end of 2023, I mainly played on PC, spending hours sitting and optimizing everything I could. But then I got married and wanted to be considerate, not sitting at my desk as much. I've also been feeling a lot more burned out the past few years, not feeling like

I’m debating on buying a 5070 ti pc or a ps5 pro :)

I have a 65” LG C3 OLED on the wall to the left of my desk. I use a 25” hdmi 2.1 from my PC to it, works very easily. Even uses my surround sound system that’s hooked up to my tv. Works beautifully. About to play some Crimson Desert on it rn.

[BF6] Broken HDR on PC

I've just guesstimated it with the broken slider. Running an RTX 4090 on an 83" LG C3 HDR OLED, and the HDR slider has been busted since about the 2nd ever patch.

Is there any solution to the clunkiness of the LG Plex App?

Im very curious why webOS seems to have so much variety in its performance. Plex app on LG C3 here works lightning fast.
