Do most people actually need a high end camera for streaming anymore?
Hell no I made partner with a Logitech c920 I bought at Sam’s Club on sale lol In my opinion, audio matters waaay more. Hell I’ll watch someone with a 720p resolution webcam and dim lighting as long as their mic is good If they got a $1,000 camera with amazing lighting and perfect color balance, but

What are the best webcams under $100 for streaming that don’t look awful?
Most of the super cheap random Amazon cams look awful no matter what specs they claim. I’ve been using the Logitech C920 for years and it’s still solid

Typical employee Office Setup
specs look pretty standard. couple thoughts though: 16GB feels tight nowadays with teams + outlook + chrome with 30 tabs + slack all running. 32GB is becoming the new sweet spot, cost difference is minimal. same for storage, 512GB fills up fast with onedrive cached + teams files, would default to 1T

What home office webcam would you recommend in 2026?
I've been using the Logitech C920s for a couple of years now and it’s still the gold standard for under $100.

New Cam girl
Logitech C920s is a good starter choice imo. Not super expensive, easy to set up, and it was enough for me across CB, SC, SM and Bonga. Good lighting matters more than people think so even a budget webcam can look clean if your room isn’t dark.

Best webcam under $120 for someone with lots of meetings
The Logitech c920 is great as someone else said. I also like the Razer kylo (I think it is called). It has software so you can really work the image. The C920 is just plug and play and works. I would also recommend an 8 in ring light if your office is not already super bright. You can spotlight you

Streaming Setup.... which OBS?
Decent webcams are really affordable these days, too. Logitech C920 is a model from like 10 years ago, but affordable now and is still being produced. It’s the one I’ve been using since 2015 to stream and still has GREAT quality.

Webcam upgrade mod?
Webcam upgrades are pretty much impossible on any normal laptop, including your ProBook 450 G5. The module is glued in, the cable is proprietary, and the BIOS only recognizes the stock one no drop-in better parts exist. I think u could just grab a cheap external USB webcam like a Logitech C920 or ev

WFH desk setup recommendation
For Excel-heavy work I’d definitely go with something like a 34–38" ultrawide and keep one of the 24" monitors in portrait mode for email or docs. That combo tends to work really well for spreadsheets and screen sharing. For standing desks, Fully Jarvis and Uplift are both solid and have good cable
