The future of handheld PCs?
Don't expect prices to decrease or even remain as now. Only up or they will just stop making handhelds because the prices will be absurd. Just get xbox ally x, or if you want bigger screen msi claw a8. Much better current prices than go 2.

Is the Steam Deck OLED Worth Getting This Late in the Game?
I bought one recently and I'd say so. The thing is that while more powerful devices are coming out the performance ceiling for these things is still very low. At least in comparison to consoles and even full desktop PCs when you get to the more expensive ones like the ROG Ally X and the latest model

Just saw the Claw A8 pre-order go live 👀 – is this a better pick than Ally X?
Assuming you are from the UK - Like myself. So i picked up the MSI Claw 8ai - open box for £750 (love the device) I have preodered the Claw A8 - via cyberpower for £850 & preorder a lego 2 for £900 (512gb - as i plan on installing a 4tb myself). If you want to get a legion go 2 - very uk is offering

Steamdeck alternative for current AAA games
The Deck runs a four-core Zen 2 CPU. The Go S has two SKUs, the Z2 Go has a four-core Zen 3+ CPU whereas the Z1 Extreme variant has an eight-core Zen 4, so it's already far better than the Deck. You could also get some of the alternate Z1 Extreme devices, such as the Legion Go, ROG Ally, or the ROG

Could someone please recommend the best ‘all round’ handheld device?
Depending on budget: legion go 2, msi claw A8 ai+, legion go s windows or steam version, rog ally x, xbox ally x, steam deck oled. Check out some youtube videos of people playing games your interested in on the device and see what you think. Also if you have a store near you carrying them maybe go t

Aussie Aussie Aussie! r1p price.
Either they were on drugs, or they missed the ones they were supposed to take. $999.99 already felt overpriced for a gaming handheld, but $1,350 is just ridiculous. In my region, MSI Claw a8 cost $830 USD, so if I need to buy Z2E handheld, I would buy a8 instead

Handhelds > Console/PC
Totally agree! Now wait til you try one of the kings - Lego 2 or msi claw a8. They put the steam deck to shame!

My experience with the MSI Claw 8 ai+ after one day.
Honestly, sounds like you got a lemon. I have the msi claw a8 and it’s an absolute dream. I had the steam deck oled, then the ally x, now the claw a8. The claw a8 is by far the best!

Honestly I think the 7 ai was quickly forgotten
Funny thing is the MSI Claw 7 AI+ hasn't even been released here in Australia and won't be until the 30th of July, and it's going to cost $1679 AUD, while the MSI Claw A8 doesn't release until the 1st of September and will be $1749 AUD. Surely no one is buying the MSI Claw 7 AI+ here.
