Mullvad VPN

Mullvad is my backup for living in China. It will have periods where it's less stable than I'd like. It also regularly gets detected as VPN traffic for some apps/services so I can't use it for everything anyway, but it works in a pinch for when my main proxy (Trojan/Shadowsocks/etc) is acting up.

if you already have proton premium and surfshark you’re basically set. switching to expressvpn or mullvad won't magically give you a 2x speed boost since proton and surfshark already max out most standard connections using wireguard anyway

The thing about the Great Firewall is that it changes so much on a city to city/province basis. In most parts of Guangdong, I find myself just giving up or having to rely solely on Brazil and Sweden servers. Ended up using another VPN which is shady but it just gets the job done. For Zhejiang and Yu
