Mullvad is my backup for living in China. It will have periods where it's less stable than I'd like. It also regularly gets detected as VPN traffic for some apps/services so I can't use it for everything anyway, but it works in a pinch for when my main proxy (Trojan/Shadowsocks/etc) is acting up.

if you already have proton premium and surfshark you’re basically set. switching to expressvpn or mullvad won't magically give you a 2x speed boost since proton and surfshark already max out most standard connections using wireguard anyway
