If you have a "hefty router" than you are at least in the ~$2500-4000 spend range and most definitely didnt buy it from any brick and mortar store outside of maybe microcenter and its not a singular device, its multiple. Curious why you would invest that sort of money into a network if all you have

Wireless to Wired
I would pay a bit more for a WRT-capable router, as the other commenter recommended. Netgear, ASUS, and Eero are the best brands I've used in residential deployments. Check out Netgear's Nighthawk RAX50 (WiFi 6 capable, and costs ~$150-200). If you want WiFi 7 capability, look at the Nighthawk RS300

A warning about Netgear routers.
Nighthawk AX5400 (RAX50) router here. None of those issues and the router has performed flawlessly for 4 years now. I reboot and manually check for updates once a month and install w/o issues. So a blanket statement on Netgear routers (i.e. title) does not apply

Too many devices
I've used TP-Link successfully for the last 3 upgrades. I use them at my office and I've set my dad up with one as well. For best results, log in to the Telus box (the instructions are on a sticker on the side), turn off the wireless radios for the Telus box and just use the new router. Other brands

i'm stuck in a doom loop with Austin GFiber
I ditched the google mesh routers because I had to reset them almost every day. I tried both gen 1 and gen 2. They'd work well for a while and then slow to a crawl. I bought a netgear wifi router and it has been zero issues ever since. This was the Nighthawk AX6.

Spectrum wifi increase. What router to get?
So like the folks that commented here so far have said, you have to take a few things into consideration: -What speeds are you currently getting from Spectrum?-How many people are using the network?-How many devices are on the network?-How big is the building?-What is the layout of the building? I d

Home Network Router - Replace Netgear Nighthawk
We did full troubleshooting with support, reset, updates and they basically just shrugged 😅 a lot of people report the same issue! It's a Nighthawk AX6 RAX50 (?)

Nighthawk MR60 suddenly wont connect. Told to pay a subscription
I hate to update 3 weeks after the fact. But my wife saw me pulling my hair out over this nonsense, just said “Buy a new one” and I quickly abandoned troubleshooting. I have a brand new TP Link AX5400 replacing my Netgear product. Working great. I was a huge fan of Netgear before this but I dont hav

Youfibre 1000
I use a Netgear Nighthawk RAX50 router, no mesh setup and WiFi only on YouFiber 1000. I typically see speeds of between 950mbs/1000mbs, both up and down. Using WiFi 6 only, I can achieve that same speed on the third floor of my house, without a Mesh network, with my router situated two floors below.

What are we all doing for routers?
The Ubiquiti Unifi's are popular, but I'd also like to throw Asus in the ring, cleanest and easiest interface I've encountered compared to Netgear, TP-Link, etc. $199 - https://www.ple.com.au/products/657470/asus-rt-ax57-ax3000-dual-band-wifi-6-80211ax-router $349 - https://www.ple.com.au/products/6
