Good Wi-Fi Router in 2026. Any recommendation?
Just did this - 7 people, 3 floors. Went through a few mesh systems (tplink be4800, be5000, XE75). Hated the way mesh worked, walked to another room device would hang on the further node and online games were choppier (higher ping and latency) than a single nighthawk (even had wired backhaul from ma

Wireless to Wired
I would pay a bit more for a WRT-capable router, as the other commenter recommended. Netgear, ASUS, and Eero are the best brands I've used in residential deployments. Check out Netgear's Nighthawk RAX50 (WiFi 6 capable, and costs ~$150-200). If you want WiFi 7 capability, look at the Nighthawk RS300

Connectivity issues with S25
I've had a similar problem: At work my new Galaxy S25 FE 256GB would use their Wi-Fi perfectly, the signal display icon at top right would even show a number 6 (meaning Wi-Fi 6ax = 2.4GHz and 5GHz). But when I got home, every time I would try to use an App, it wouldn't load or just show the App fron

Time to upgrade but I have...questions.
Wow, I just bought the Nighthawk WiFi 7 Tri-Band Router Model RS300 (aka: BE9300) I have the complete opposite experience than you. My Wi-Fi speeds and Ethernet Speeds have increased 4X On Xfinity I'm paying for 600Mbps On my old Router: Netgear WNDR4500v3 on my Cell Phones, I was only getting 100-1

How to increase?
Even the cheaper Mesh systems without wired backhaul will suffer. You could go with a really expensive Deco system that has good wireless backhaul but you're looking at $800-1000. I have a 3500 sq ft house. Went through 3 deco (be4800, be5000, xe75pro) systems, Netgear nighthawks (rs300, 500, 700),

Router with best buy
I tried the BE9300, wasn't happy with it. I ended up buying a refurb RS700S. The RS300 didn't have the push to get the internet across my house but its 3500sq ft. Even the corners where signal strength was like 60% are 90+ now. The Netgear Nighthawk RS700S is a beast of a router!

Scanning for Malware
I just bought a Netgear Nighthawk BE9300 (aka: RS300) and was wondering the same thing since we found out that Chinese Routers "might" be hard coded with Malware and or Trojans. Although if mine was infected, I would think that it would affect the speed of my WiFi and Ethernet connected devices, but

Router for 2000 Mbps download
I recently upgraded to the Netgear Nighthawk RS600 bit overkill but I got it from amazon prime day deals for $494, Works as intended no issues. Since your going for something smaller the RS300 should be good, comes with 2.5g Wan port for the new tier speeds, 2x 2.5g and 2x 1g lan ports if you ever n

FiOS vs Optimum (Nassau)
Netgear nighthawk rs300 should handle like 60 devices and the models after that are if there’s more bandwidths usage. But this thing’s WiFi 7 and future proof for the next few years

Tried the Quest 3 with a cable and Meta Link software. Do I need to try Virtual Desktop?
I've chosen a Netgear Nighthawk RS300 as I had a good price in EU, it is a wifi 7 router but a wifi 6E will be enough for the Quest 3. As mentionned above, it will work best when ised only for VR and not in a crowded area, this is where the 6Ghz band is preferred. I've set up my router in access poi
