Is TP Link a good replacement for Orbi?
I switched to Eero 7 stuff, running 2x Eero Max 7 and 2x Eero Outdoor 7 in AP only mode w/ UniFi UCG-Fiber for my router/gw. No regrets. SO MUCH more stable than the Orbi 770 with its hourly lag/packet loss issues. The roaming is second to none. I've tested it thoroughly and I'm impressed. I know it

Enough is enough…
I had the Orbi 770. Absolute garbage!! Just switched to the EERO Max 7. Literally every problem I had with the Orbi (constant dropping WiFi, older devices unable to connect, satellites dropping, random slow speed, etc..) was resolved with the EERO. Took me about 2 minutes to setup and it has worked

Worst WiFi system - Orbi 770
I went from Asus's RoG mesh to Orbi 770, and instantly regretted it. My ultimate answer was to return the 770 set and finally concede on a Ubiquiti. Dream Router 7 + two Max Pro 7 APs, with some PoE switches powering the two APs while also driving the other ports from the AP itself. It's nowhere nea

Giving in to hardwire, Unifi the way to go for the rest?
I've been from Google Nest 6E -> Orbi 770 (Wi-Fi 7) -> Eero Max 7 + Outdoor 7 -> adding a UniFi UCG-MAX as my gateway -> UCG-Fiber and XG switching core -> then full UniFi APs too after an Eero firmware update literally broke AP selection and performance for critical stuff like my remote cameras and

BEWARE: Orbi 770 is absolute trash. Netgear support is even worse.
Are you getting hourly interruptions on the dot in gaming and Zoom calls and similar real-time activities? I was. Nothing fixed it. No matter what, I got a big lag and packet loss spike every 59-60 ish min on the dot even fully wired in from end to end. Worse on Satellite-connected Wi-Fi devices. ht

Frequent buffering on devices since WiFi 7 upgrade — what gives?
I have the same exact issues. Bought an Orbi RBK43 mesh system 7 years ago.. solid as all hell. "Upgraded" to the TP-Link be10000 but didn't like how the channels were separated so I returned it for an Orbi 770 and started experiencing your same issues. I talked to Netgear support and they gave me a

Want to upgrade my wifi mesh
If you have the XT8 and are satisfied with there performance you can always get the ET8 which is the 6E version. I would avoid the Orbi 770 series they have been firmware nightmares as of late. The Orbi 960 system is very solid and has insane range and speed. I have personally had the all 3 systems

real world difference in wireless vs wired backhaul for Orbi 770?
The wireless backhaul is impressive on the Orbi 770 system, however, there is a BIG issue with a 20-30 second interruption every 60-ish minutes on their mesh system that impacts all devices connected to the satellite(s). Running wired backhaul does improve this issue greatly, but it's still present

UDR7, UCG-Fiber... or Mesh?
Orbi 770/870/970 are horrible and riddled with serious show-stopper bugs. Been there, done that. I'm running UCG-Fiber + UniFi 10 GbE switches for backhaul to a combo of Eero Max 7 and Outdoor 7 running in AP mode. Works fantastic and the roaming on Eero is unparalleled. Rock solid long term as well

Orbi 770 vs eero pro 7
I have the Orbi 770 and am disapointed in it. I'm looking at the Pro 7 as a replacement. Our neighborhood recently got a fiber provider installed and I was pretty excited. We had the older RBK50 or whatever and our speeds were rock solid and fast. But it was still older tech so while we were getting
