Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?

I wouldn't recommend the R50 as the growth potential is lower. The Z50II has the better processor, imaging recipes for fun, and nikon imaging cloud support (auto uploads to lightroom/google drive/dropbox). I think Canon's software is legacy and behind. The Z50II also has bird AF so if this person ge

Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?

I can't speak for the Canon; I shoot full frame Z bodies, 80-90% corporate/industrial video and some corporate stills/product shoots. The little Z50ii is my little gimbal monster though - it punches way above its weight/price. Nikon simply didn't cripple the thing in any meaningful way. It lacks in-

Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?

The Nikon, the kit lenses are better and Nikon didn't bring the cripple hammer to the Z50II so it gets the full range of automatic AF capabilities from the Z9. But it's not by a lot (OK, the lens is a lot better, the body less so), they're both very good.

Recomendation for beginners

Okay, so a couple of things That is absolutely the right camera to start learning photography - good job. Until the Z50II came out I always recommended the ZFc but for various reasons the Z50II is now the better choice Don't buy new. See if Nikon has that exact gear available refurbished at a discou

Z50II vs Z5II

I moved from Z50 II to Z5 II. I value IBIS more. My other cameras have IBIS and I couldn't go back to a body without IBIS. As for the size, with 40mm, 28mm and 75mm primes the Z5 II isn't that big of a camera. AF performance is a wash between two. Lens selection for Z DX is pretty small and no prime

Talk me out of a potential mistake.........

The best camera is the one you have with you or will bring with you. So I don’t blame you there. Personally, I’ve been using Nikon for 15+ years. I’ll stick with it. I have a D800 and a Z50ii and am looking to add a Z8 to replace the D800. I feel a Z8 and Z50ii will cover my needs. The ultra compact

D500 or Z50II?

So given that you have no legacy Nikon gear and have an interest in birds, the suggestion would be to go for the Z50ii as it’s an Expeed7 camera For the lens, don’t bother with the 80-400 with FTZ; if you are interested in that focal length range the Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6S is the superior option. Is Ricoh GR just better?

GRs are super portable, so you are inclined to take it to more places, take more photos and create more chances to take good picture. However, these are niche cameras with dogshit video quality, fairly slow fixed prime lens and mediocre at best autofocus - old Nikon D750 blows it out of the water an

I'm planning on buying D3300 for bird photography. Is it a good choice? Also some cheap lens advice would be much appreciated.

I went from a d3200 to a z50ii, it was the best choice I ever made hobby-wise. Even with the kit lenses I was having a blast and getting far more hits than I ever did with my d3200, the processor and AF are lightyears ahead in comparison. Grab a refurb from Nikon when it's available, and save up for

Why is there no Tamron 17-70 f/2.8 for Nikon Z?

It's a shame, because I think that the Z50ii with a Tamron 17-70 f/2.8 would be one of the best APSC combos around for the price. The body is very capable, it's just held back by lenses. Only one fast zoom is laughable. Atleast Canon gives IS to their FF lenses to mitigate the lack of IBIS in APSC b
