What am I doing wrong?
Hi, I came from a Delonghi Magnifica S Smart Bean to Cup machine to the Ninja Luxe Café Pro so have some experience of the transition. Over the last year I've been developing a Ninja Basics script which might help. It's lengthy, but covers most issue, you might want to just dip into three bits that

Frustrated
Ouch. Brew temperature is bean roast level specific, not generally a taste thing. Your shot coming out in seconds is your problem as it should take at least 24-32 seconds. This might help Ninja's basics For your sanity only use Barista Assist (BA) as a guide to get you close to dialed in and once th

Struggling with bitter/sour shots
Been there, wore that T Shirt. I then did a whole pile of research and found out where I was going wrong, I'll include my findings over that last year below the line. There's a great feature in the Additional Settings menu for Barista Assist (BA), it allows you to turn it off, please, for your sanit

Manual steaming.
Been there. Sadly it's the power of the steam due to it being a single boiler-ish system and heated by Thermocoil/Thermoblock heating system, which is just like one of those instant one cup kettles. There is just not the pressure. I found on the 701 I had, it could take well over a minute to get to

Bought my other half a luxe cafe pro, where is the best place to get beans from? I’m clueless when it comes to coffee
Hi Tom, Yes, this is a dip in and out document, just find the sub headings that suit your needs and maybe keep the rest for a night when your struggling to sleep, and it'll send you right of to the land of nod. Single basket issues
Yes, here it is. Ninja's basics For your sanity only use Barista Assist (BA) as a guide to get you close to dialed in and once there ignore it. Before pulling your shot run a blank shot through the portafilter and basket into you cup. Two things, one it heats everything up including your cup and get

Too much output: grind size vs stopping output flow
I think I checked that scale but it was too big, so I ended up with Maestri House Rechargeable Espresso Scale which fits perfectly. So my question: why keep grinding finer rather than just stopping the output when it hits 36g? That's what I do. I am doing ristretto with 1:1 ratio, so I would stop it

Too much output: grind size vs stopping output flow
You're welcome. Strength ** on a Double is ≈45g out as it's a ratio of 2.5:1, so Ninja would tell you at 50g it's within a margin of error. However, they also say that Strength ** is Default, only in their world. 70g is closer to the Strength * output of ≈72g, so that's quite a variance. If you're getti

Grind size help
Well, lots to unpick here. This can and should never be compared to a Nespresso. Now that's out of the way, what volume are you getting out? What Strength are you set to, what water temperature are you set to? Below is my Ninja Basics script, just look for the subheadings that you need and dip in an
