Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 review: Despite pointer issues, this is still 3D platforming at its very best | VGC

The Switch 2 Joy Con shouldn't have the same issues the Switch 1's gyro has with the constant calibration and drifting. It's much more consistent in that regard. I've been playing Skyward Sword, World of Goo and Okami with it, and I've been requiring much less calibration than it did on Switch 1. Ho

Nintendo Switch Firmware Update 20.5.0 is out now

I can’t take it anymore. I pick up my Switch. I check for updates. “A new system update is available.” I hesitate… what if this one breaks something. Maybe it will ruin my precious smoothness and stability. I hit “Install.” The system restarts without a hitch. The notice reads: "General system stabi

What a nostalgic blast from the past!

I’m so glad DK oldies are preserving and repairing Nintendo’s legacy consoles for all to enjoy at a price point and quality Nintendo would approve of. I also remember that princess peach sprite, she’s from my favorite classic Mario game, Super Mario 3D All Stars Collection, only available at DK oldi

Nintendo and their weird control restrictions, Been playing Galaxy 2 and the handheld tilting is such a pain on tough levels. Wish they'd just let us use mouse controls for single player too. At least the Joy-Con drift isn't as bad this time around.

My school bought a bunch of Switches to use as a "reward" activity for middle school kids. What could this look like, and how best to manage?

My first purchase would be screen protection for all consoles, but especially for the Lites. A regular switch can still display to the TV with a cracked screen, but a Lite is toast since it can't connect to anything else. I'd also consider a controller budget.. Stock joycons are notorious for issues

Should I get a Steam Deck or Switch 2

I have been repeating this several times. The Switch 2 just works. People say: "Get a Steam Deck" but even though SteamOS is more streamlined than Windows, at the end of the day it is a PC, so you will be tweaking and tinkering with settings, adjustments, controller configurations. It is not a "just

This is how it feels as a general Nintendo fan in 2026 who just wants to enjoy their games and systems without getting caught up in internet wars.

Joy-Con drift: known issue, knowingly screwing the customer over Nintendo still gives free repairs out of warranty in several regions to anyone who has Joy-Con drift. Nintendo uses software locks, warranty voidance threats, and parts restrictions to force consumers to use only Nintendo's official re

Switch 2 controllers now have 9-Axis support on PC

It is included, since programmers who have been deciphering how the controllers work have found the magnetometer data. I've read that they were discovered in teardowns too. But indeed it is interesting that Nintendo never mentioned it. I don't think it's even mentioned in Welcome Tour. I did assume

The new Xbox Elite 3 and Cloud controllers has been leaked.

I’m sure that’s a fine controller but it can’t wake the Switch 2 from sleep which would make it a non starter for me, personally. Also, I haven’t tried one to test the vibration but I’m guessing at that price it isn’t anywhere near as good as what’s in first party Nintendo controllers. The jury is s
