My first purchase would be screen protection for all consoles, but especially for the Lites. I’d get the regular switch and build it up from there. Even if you decided to play 100% handheld, there are now great 3rd party joy cons that are better than Nintendo’s and don’t drift. With the lite you are stuck with the sticks it comes with.

Why highlight permanent prices when those games get bigger discounts much more frequently than Nintendo games? Dual sense drift is also not nearly the issue it is for joy cons.
