Adjustable Dumbbells - Yay or Nay?
Yay. I’ve had the 80lb Nuobells for around 4 years and I like them. Super quick adjustments. Can’t drop them though.

Yeah except nuobells internals are also plastic and break if you drop from 1/4”

Adjustable dumbbell recommendations.
I have Nuobells. They are great, but there is a risk of breaking the internal mechanism if you drop them. I used to worry about this a lot, but I've had them for two years and have never had any issues. I would also consider Rep x Pepins and Snode with the magnetic weights to allow for 5lb adjustmen

I've had the nuobells since they came out and I love them. Use them pretty often. You do have to baby them a bit when putting them back in the cradle (haha) and you can't drop them. As long as you're ok with that, they're amazing. I tried the repins at the PA showroom and the quality is great but I

Wish somone told me about Eisenlink dumbells!
I've heard nuobells are quite fragile. So you can't drop them at all.

Anybody have experience between the Snode ad80 and Nuobell 100s?
Snodes are drop proof, nuobells are not. Nothing else matters.

From the YouTube reviews I've seen on these they are A LOT cheaper build quality than nuobells and are actually already breaking/already showing signs of critical wear on people during their review time. I'd say pass on these and save up for nuobells if you like the twist design.

Adjustable Dumbbells - Yay or Nay?
I've got a set of Nuobells I picked up in back in 2021 for ~$900, and they're still going strong. While it's true the Rep x Peppin ones look amazing, I'm not ready to re-invest just yet. There's no way I could fit a full set of fixed dumbbells in the garage given all the other projects happening in

Best Adjustable Dumbbells Set?
I've had the nuobells and sold them to use their proceeds to get the Reppins. As you mentioned there are trade offs for any item, but the driving force for my switch was durability- the knowledge of knowing I can safely bail out of a lift and not be SoL by breaking plastic components was a relief. Adjustable Dumbbells that are worth the price
I have no regrets with my nuobells, I could buy three pairs by the time I am even close to the cost of a full set of non adjustable. If they ever break I am buying rep-peppin.
