First leaked image of the new OM-5II
I truly hope—pray, even—that OM System’s next release won’t just be another rehash like the OM-1 Mark II. That camera, while fine on paper, was essentially a software update sold at full price, and it left many of us deeply disillusioned. I’m starting to lose hope in the brand. I’ve been using the E

Price of used OM-1 MK I 's are absurdly low / great bargain. Theories?
OM systems did absolutely shoot themselves in the foot by re-using old camera names that are still traded frequently in used spaces. This creates a lot of pointless confusion. Keep in mind that the OM-1, being a full-grip pro-body that appeals to more serious photographers who are expected to use he

Giving away 12-45F4 and 40-150F4 for 12-100 F4?
Image quality of all the OM constant F/4 lenses, including the 12-100, is good. I bought the 12-100 years ago, and it's one of most most used lenses outdoors. handles perfectly on "1" series bodies. Enough weight to tilt grip of the camera over to return the handshake. The best way to give that 40-1

Looks like OM had some ambassadors debunk sensor myths!
most of these points are kinda weird, like you are making compromises on some aspects and gaining benefits on some others, that is how different gear work, so you can say the compromises are worth it for you but totally dismissing them isn't the way. like looking at the points, low light, resolution

OM-log/flat video - DaVinci Resolve
Even if OM System ios primarily for photos, they need to bring their video up for the next release. Even the OM1 10bit is okay, but it's still not good. What's weird is that sometimes outside it's really good, but as soon as you got indoors with a little less light, it looks horrible. Anyway, I wish

Is this the right time to buy a m43 system?
I love m43 system, but no, it would be foolish to do so these days (with a few exceptions) You can find cheaper and better camera and lenses, new or used. Take a Sony A6100, it smokes everything m43 by a mile except the OM-1 and G9 II in some areas and it's dirt cheap. Autofocus, video, fps, senzor,

Panasonic G9 i vs Olympus E-M1 ii for wildlife?
Thanks for the quick and helpful response! Unfortanetely, the OM-1 and/or 300mm f4.0 pro are not very affordable to me. However, I have definitely been debating between the panasonic and olympus system and lenses, but ive found that the lenses both are said to have their respective benifits and down

Your biggest M43 mistakes - kit
In light "bound" photography, where shutter speeds are required to freeze motion and ISO "gain" is required to expose, it doesn't matter if you're shooting with a large or small sensor, both sensors require the same physical size aperture to achieve a similar performance for a given FOV. Smaller sen
