Diaper bags are a scam

100% this. i've got a 3yo and a 1yo and we just use an old osprey daylite backpack i had lying around. it has more support than most 'diaper bags' and the side mesh pockets are actually big enough for the larger munchkin straw cups. the only thing i added was a pack of those cheap clip-on carabiners

Do you run to work?

I run home because I don’t have a place to shower but I use the osprey daylite, you can definitely run with a lighter laptop but anything heavy gets annoying really quickly.

Tom Bihn vs. Osprey

I own both Ospreys but the Osprey as Daylite 26+6. The fairpoint/ Fairview is a great backpack for real backpacking imo. I did 3 months Southeast Asia with it and loved it. Super sturdy and comfy. Nothing rly breaks this beast even when overpacked. Love the hop strap to lighten the load on my should

If you rock a backpack, much does it usually weigh?

OneBagTravels on YouTube actually used packing peanuts to measure the volume of the Allpa 28L. He found that it was actually 33L (so more bang for your buck 😉). I really love watching his backpack reviews! I typically prefer 25-30L backpacks, which must have a sternum strap, for 1-2 week vacations.

Osprey Daylite 26+6 $82

Yes, the Transporter’s sleeker, more premium fabric brings it closer to an EDC work pack than the Daylite. The Daylite is a travel pack. The Transporter also supposedly has more comfortable straps. It should arrive to Osprey UK soon.

Those of you with older kids, what “day bag” are you carrying around?

Just returned from 11 days in Europe with my 8 and 10 year old. They carry their luggage but on days out, I need them to keep walking so they don't carry bags. I used a Uniqlo mini crescent crossbody bag along with the Osprey Daylite tote pack. I used it as a a shoulder bag in most situations, stash

Cabin-only Europe travel with a freestanding tent - realistic or stupid?

I did my research into the Osprey Daylite 26+6 and it’s an admittedly snug fit, but there are a few things to note: On the bag -• I’m 6 foot 4 so any personal allowance bag will look smaller on me,• The bag is quite firm and rectangular and doesn’t bulge in a way that draws attention,• And it will p

Best structured small day packs?

Enjoy my osprey daylite, it is pretty small at only 13L but is what I was looking for in a small daypack. It has a structured back that stays pretty rigid when empty, doesn't have an overbearing number of pockets, nice sternum strap and waist strap, feels like a sturdy material, looks pretty sleek i

Why don’t you guys include bag that you carry in EDC pics?

Ok, here's my weekend away bag that I am using on a trip right now. Comfortable to carry, and fits under the seat with no issues. Osprey Daylite 26+6. Am happy to post my daily work bag when I return.

Has anyone used a Tolaccea backpack yet?

Thanks for the help and great feedback. I'm doing Japan for two weeks as well and was thinking about another bag in the same range of your Allpa 28L and the daylite 26+6 as those strong contenders for something to slide under the seat so I could pack a small camera, laptop and some other things with
