If you rock a backpack, much does it usually weigh?
OneBagTravels on YouTube actually used packing peanuts to measure the volume of the Allpa 28L. He found that it was actually 33L (so more bang for your buck 😉). I really love watching his backpack reviews! I typically prefer 25-30L backpacks, which must have a sternum strap, for 1-2 week vacations.

The 26+6 Problem: Too Much Bag for Too Little Weight
This is a good question. The main issue with carrying the pack half full is that it can feel floppy, oversized, and less balanced than a smaller, fuller pack. Because the Osprey Daylite is a soft-sided travel pack, the body sags or collapses when half full, items can shift around in the large clamsh

Osprey Daylite 35 vs 26+6 for 3 month trip
Look at the dimensions compared with the limits set by all the airlines you want to use. So under seat or overhead and which airline? Note the Daylite 35 is 19.3H X 14.6W X 10.2D IN (49H X 37W X 26D CM). That’s a bit too deep and I don’t understand why Osprey made a travel pack like that. There are

Fully-packed Review and Comparison: REI Ruckpack 30L vs Cor Surf Island Hopper 28L
I agree, the REI seems to have better straps and more comfort. That Osprey looks solid. Honestly, I was really considering the Osprey Daylite 26+6 too, but I'm really not a fan of Osprey bags' appearance haha, it turns me away completely

Go Pack 2 vs. City Pack Pro 2 (20l)
Aer Go Pack 2 or Osprey Daylite Plus - you don't need that level of structure or additional weight tbh.

Yet another "what bag should I buy," 35L edition
Update: I tried out the Osprey Daylite 35L carry on and was surprised to find that it does not hold as much as my 30L Tom Bihn 🙃 will try the Fairview or Allpa next.

Osprey Daylite 35 vs 26+6 for 3 month trip
You should start with a list of items you want to pack and then consider what volume that would take. Generally you can fairly easily pack a week worth of clothing for non-extreme weather and basic travel necessities in 25l easily. If you know what you are doing. And if you try you can bring that vo

Bag Finder Megathread - 11 May 2026
I'm looking for a personal item sized bag (US, so18x14x8 inches) that can also double as a day hike backpack or daypack, i.e. can be worn for 6-8 hours without too much discomfort. Comfort is a lot more important to me than maximizing space, I just need to be able to fly on airlines like Frontier wi

Bag Finder Megathread - 04 May 2026
Hey, looking for some advice from people who have used bags in the 30–36L range. I’m 22, about 165 cm / 5'5", and I’m slowly moving toward longer one-bag travel. I have a 3-week China trip this October, probably another month-ish trip in early 2027, and maybe a 3–6 month trip later in 2027. Right no

Bag Finder Megathread - 27 April 2026
Looking for a 30-35L bag with an easy access pocket with volume, structure and organisation. When travelling with work, I have the bag in the passenger seat while driving. There I want easy access to my two iPhones. In the same EA pocket I want to have my glasses case, mouse, keys, tagsI would love
