One bag for diverse temperatures
Packing list first, then the bag. The Osprey Farpoint 40 is the safe answer. The bag needs to fit you, fit your gear and fit on the plane. Here’s my 4 season kit. Note the layering possible. It will all fit in a 32 liter overhead sized backpack. Pack for a week and laundry happens. Hand wash basics

Osprey Farpoint 40L VS Salkan 35L
I have the Osprey 40L Farpoint and I love it. I don't like to check a bag ever so I use it to travel and to hike. It's been my main bag for multiple long hut treks in Nepal, Peru, Iceland, Patagonia and for Kilimanjaro. It's a solid bag. Sometimes I pair it with an Osprey 15L bag if I need some more

Onebaggers of Reddit: what's the toughest part of traveling with just one bag?
Wait, are you traveling with a carryon or just a tiny personal item bag?Doing laundry every night or even worrying about nearest laundromat when traveling random countries sounds super stressful. My 1 bag carry-on fits 1 week's worth of clothing easily. Checkout the Osprey Farpoint 40 it's max carry

Duffel bag recommendations?
Are you doing car camping? Or backpacking? Car camping TBH I would just go to a thrift store/charity shop and find any ol' bag that you think would work. If you want a more detailed rec consider something like the Osprey Farpoint 40 (or Fairview for their women's line). It's a versatile and incredib

What is your 1.5-bag setup?
Same. Farpoint 40 and a Farpoint 15L Daypack. (Osprey Dry Stuff pack, packed inside its own pocket, just in case. ) Goes everywhere, holds everything, easy to carry, and never a problem on any carrier.

What’s the best travel backpack that’s actually comfortable? any suggestion pls?
Where on the plane are you anticipating putting it? What will you do with it at your destination? I feel like there are a few conflicting wants with travel bags and it's really helpful to clarify. Also, why you want it to be a backpack and not a roller. Sometimes I take a backpack as a suitcase repl

Living without wheels — ?maybe? A stashable activity backpack. Recoiling chargers, and more questions.
I'm not familiar with that Osprey bag but I have a Farpoint 40. Are you using the waist strap/load lifters and chest strap properly? I just came back from Coz and was able to fit ALL my dive gear (like full setup minus tanks and weights). And everything else for a week in my Cotopaxi Allpa 42 (my so

Is a Osprey Farpoint 40L + Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC suitable for 4 weeks in Japan/Indonesia?
Try getting your packing list for just the hike into your Sirrus now. Does it fit? If so, don't read the rest of this comment. 😂 I don't think you want a Farpoint 40. And, I don't think you want to take your Sirrus with you. I think you want a large hiking pack you can carry on. This is a bit tricky

I think I have had 10 bags so far and still not sure what the ideal size for travel is.
Visited Thailand for 4 weeks with Osprey Farpoint 40L. This was OK for cabin apart from internal flights. I was hit with last minute charge similar to flight cost for oversize. Just bought Osprey 26+6 for hot weather trips in future.
