With that background and budget, the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 is the best choice. For monitors, basic 4–5" powered speakers (Pioneer DM-40/50, KRK, etc.) are more than enough, and any decent DJ headphones will do.

It'll do the job, but you're probs going to want that second one. You can always just buy another when you are able too. When I first started out people went on and on about the monitors not being for DJing n blah blah, I wasted so much time trying to find what was right. Ended up just going with Pi

Just look for deals with the controller. Quick google of "Inpulse 500 + speaker" offers tons of options. Do a quick review search of the speakers before you commit, but when you're starting out, you don't need to be messing around with silly money monitors. Just gonna throw something like this at yo
