A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions
TL;DR : The Verse Lite is worth considering for just wanting to read. Support of many formats including Adobe Digital Editions, and the ability to set gesture support for many functions. No Bluetooth, no Kindle book support (unless you remove DRM), and auto brightness can be literally headache induc

What e-reader are you rocking, and what do you like about it?
I have a PocketBook Verse Lite. I like that it is a simple, light device, and I'm able to read library books on it easily. Additionally, having no ads and some light games on it is wonderful to me, as the battery life is nice.

A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions
First thing I do when people think of buying the Verse Lite is recommending the standard Verse. Being able to change colour temperature for reading in the dark is a huge plus, buttons for page flipping (or at least assign stuff to if you don't use them) and the battery is 50% larger. SD card slot is

PocketBook vs Kobo vs Kindle (real opinions only)
I got you. Can’t speak on Kindle but I can speak on Kobo and Pocketbook. I have had a Kobo for a month now and Pocketbook for months (don’t ask how many I have tried/owned 🙈) Anyway: Ease of use: Kobo has the edge on this one. I factory reset it to resolve something and it was easy to set it back up

Does this ereader exist?
Most ereaders will fit your criteria, except for the buttons thing. Generally, ereaders have touchscreen and you touch or swipe to turn pages. I have a Pocketbook Verse Color and it's nice. They have a black and white version. It's six inches which is good for reading but still small enough to carry

Never owned an ereader, looking for budget friendly recommendations.
I own a PocketBook ereader. I love it. I think the PocketBook Verse is a good entry-level ereader. It’s budget-friendly, and offers a great reading experience and ease of use. But the Verse Pro or Verse Lite might be good too.

Disappointed with kindle. Recommendations for e-readers?
PocketBook has good native PDF support, better than Kobo (PocketBooks also have a reflow option when reading PDFs). But almost all non-Android devices allow installation of KOReader, which in theory could be even better than PocketBooks native PDF support (never tested it, so look into it). PocketBo

Is it possible to get an e-reader without any "store" or internet access that I can just download my epub files onto via usb?
Cheapest would possibly be the PocketBook Verse Lite, but better get the standard PocketBook Verse. You can disable ads in the settings, and remove the icon for the shop from the home screen. But it would still be better to connect to the internet after you set everything up for possible updates, do

What should be my first e-reader?
PocketBook Verse Lite is the cheapest (but doesn’t have buttons or warm light). PocketBook Verse is the next cheapest - €136 on the official site (pocketbook.de sells in all of EU, free shipping IIRC) with a case included. https://pocketbook.de/en/e-reader?sort=price_ASC
