first e-reader for anti-amazon Libby reader?

Pocketbook devices have amazing Libby/Overdrive integration. You can even browse and check out books from your device, if you want. I have both the Verse Pro Color (6”) and the Inkpad 4 (7.8”).

is there any other platform that accomplishes what kindle does?

Several of the Pocketbook devices have the Libby app built in, you can browse the library right on the device as well as read what you’ve already checked out. I have both the Verse Pro (6”) and the Inkpad 4 (7.8”), both have this. They also sync sideloaded books beautifully through the free Pocketbo

eReader Empfehlung

Let's talk about Kobo and Kindle

I like this question. My bests have been PocketBook Verse Lite and Boox Go 6. I am curious about the Kobo Clara as well. The Verse Lite is my best because of all of the formats it takes (including NetGalley ARCs), battery life, dark mode and it supports multiple library cards. The Boox Go 6 is a run

Should I just stick with Kindle or move to Kobo?

I was lucky, I got all my books out of Amazon before the total lockdown. My favorite ereaders are by Pocketbook. I have both the Verse Pro Color (6”, for reading on the go), and the Inkpad 4 (7.8”, perfect size for reading at home). Sideloading is simple, and both devices sync reading position with

What should I buy?

There are no current Kindles with buttons, so unless you can snag a used Kindle Oasis for that price, that rules out Kindles anyway. With your requirements and price point, I am not sure there’s anything other that PocketBook Verse available as new. (And I don’t know how sharp the Verse screen is -

A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions

TL;DR : The Verse Lite is worth considering for just wanting to read. Support of many formats including Adobe Digital Editions, and the ability to set gesture support for many functions. No Bluetooth, no Kindle book support (unless you remove DRM), and auto brightness can be literally headache induc

Just getting into e-readers, not sure what to get

Another thing is all the extra features a lot of current ones seem to have. I'm a simple man, I don't need color, I don't need wi-fi, I don't need or necessarily want all these extras, I just want something to read books on you know? Ohhhhh a man after my own heart! This was a big factor in me selec

pocketbook verse (pro) vs clara bw vs other recs?

Verse Lite is just a worse Verse, just forget about it (smaller battery, no buttons, no SD card slot, no warm colour temperature, also not waterproof - as the standard Verse isn't). Portablility: all devices in discussion are 6" devices, there's no difference in portability (Kobo Clara BW is slightl

I wish 6 inch ereaders were more popular!

I really love my 6" Pocketbook Verse Pro (running koreader). I have my Calibre library set up with it and accessing all of my books is as simple as connecting it to wifi and hitting 'download.'
