quite possibly my favourite mod of all time

Description do this mod at your own risk, i am not liable for any damages that might occur during install or tear down of your 3d printer and or accessories. that being said, do you want your qidi q1 pro to be less functional? do you hate all those features they gave you like heated enclosure for st

They get big mad on the main sub

Nope. I have a Qidi Q1 Pro and was simply okay with trading multicolor and a slightly larger build volume for a chamber heater. I have since started to yearn for multicolor and I want a CoPrint Quadro whenever it comes out. The wait will be 100% worth minimal waste 4 color prints on a 300³ bedslinge

Help choosing a printer. Used or new, large or small?

I’d take either the new sv08 or the new QIDI q1 pro. I love my sv08 and it prints amazing with some upgrades. I’ve also heard good things about the QIDI.

About to buy Qidi Q1 Pro, add-ons?

I'm planning on doing a full guide of all the cool things to add to your Qidi Q1 Pro that I've found over the last few months, but here's a quick list of things I've liked: The extra extruder fan (https://qidi3d.com/products/q1-pro-extruder-expansion-fan) is probably worth it. I'd recommend getting

What are good open source printers these days? (Preferably budget friendly, but upgradable)

If your experience is with an Ender you might be overvaluing upgradability. I don't worry so much about open source as I do about being able to do what I want with my printer. Pretty much anything besides Bambu is ultra low risk for every becoming some kind of subscription based print system. Even B

What allows newer Qidi printers to go up to 65C chamber heater instead of the Q1 Pros 60C?

RP2040 doesn't like heat. In the Q1 the toolhead has no ventilation so at 60 °C the rp2040 is at its limits (yes the rp2040 can run 20 °C hotter than the air around it). Maybe newer models improved the ventilation, or they switched to a rp2350 which has higher temperature tolerance. If you print htt

Just got a qidi, is this normal? Seems rough...

Some folks have found success with my mod. Needs a slight tweak tho. Give it a try and tell me what you think. https://www.printables.com/model/1125005-qidi-q1-pro-nozzle-wiper-base-replacement

What 3d printer do you like?

I have a Qidi Q1 pro, as I don't like the way Bambu is trying to pull an Apple to lock everyone into their ecosystem. Of the first hundred prints I had 2 fail, one was because I fucked up the slicer settings and the other was due to bed adhesion (I think I left an oily thumb print on the bed). Every

Does anyone have a BOM for the Q1 Pro and models for the linear rod blocks?

So as someone who did an entire gantry rebuild of the Q1P, I can say that the Y-axis rods are also epoxied in. I will say that it's generally not worth it to take it apart to swap things out. It's extremely tedious and you have to deal with taking out epoxied hardware without damaging things. Here i

3D printer in time for kids Christmas

For kids that young with a parent who is new to 3d printing, I would stick with the Bambu Labs A1 definitely. If they aren't available, try an A1 Mini. If you can find one, the P1S would be okay also (the P2S might be also, but I don't have any experience with one yet). All others will have more "va
