quite possibly my favourite mod of all time
Description do this mod at your own risk, i am not liable for any damages that might occur during install or tear down of your 3d printer and or accessories. that being said, do you want your qidi q1 pro to be less functional? do you hate all those features they gave you like heated enclosure for st

Boss asked me if I wanted a 3d printer, to give him 3-levels of options
Ok well you have options, there are just pros and cons with all of them. Bambu P1S w/ AMS - Enclosed, fast, will handle most these materials. May need to upgrade extruder if you plan to do filled materials after awhile, it tends to get eaten. Doesn't get super hot in enclosure (thin sheet metal, no

I need a good 3D printer for independent engineering, on a relatively small budget, any good suggestions?
The Qidi Q1 Pro Tech might work well, it’s on sale at the moment. Does anyone have any experience with this printer? I would be concerned with a diminishing availability of repair and replacement parts as Qidi moves forward in this product line up. Also while it has a chamber heater, there is no ven

Really refraining myself from setting this on fire
That's a big fat lie, the Qidi Q1 Pro STILL doesn't have a way to properly factory reset. It has the option in the menu, it just doesn't do anything right. So yeah, sometimes these machines don't do what we tell them

What allows newer Qidi printers to go up to 65C chamber heater instead of the Q1 Pros 60C?
RP2040 doesn't like heat. In the Q1 the toolhead has no ventilation so at 60 °C the rp2040 is at its limits (yes the rp2040 can run 20 °C hotter than the air around it). Maybe newer models improved the ventilation, or they switched to a rp2350 which has higher temperature tolerance. If you print htt

Warranty period question
Ok so I own 20 printers (21 if you count the creator pro). I've been printing for 10+ years. And I just ran bed calibration on 8 of my anycubics but I also know the bed calibration on 8 of my QIDIs and 1x P1S and 1x Sovol SV08. The average is NOT .1 mm. Far from it, probably closer to .4mm. So I thi

Got sent a DOA printer by Anycubic from their store. Customer service won't do anything but "apologize for the inconvenience". I'm about to file a chargeback with my credit card company
Same here with the Qidi Q1 Pro. Never got anything but endless ai emails and lost over $450

Does anyone have a BOM for the Q1 Pro and models for the linear rod blocks?
So as someone who did an entire gantry rebuild of the Q1P, I can say that the Y-axis rods are also epoxied in. I will say that it's generally not worth it to take it apart to swap things out. It's extremely tedious and you have to deal with taking out epoxied hardware without damaging things. Here i

Working on something
Thanks for the comment! I have an A1 mini but this was done in ASA on my Qidi Q1 Pro. It's a mess. My models are insane and do not print well at all due to so much going on with how they connect to each other. Also it may seem roomy on the video but it's real tight inaide and hard to fit everything
