Is the qidi q2 worth it?

The Qidi Q2 is a new machine, so the community cannot realistically provide you with much feedback on its service history. However, I'll try to paint some context for you: The Q2 isn't just an enclosed core xy system. It comes stock with a bi-metal hardened nozzle and a heated chamber with temperatu

3D Printing Start-Up Shopping List

I'll help you out. Step 1: You need a printer. I highly recommend the Qidi Q2. It's the best engineering filament printer on the market today, IMO, because it's reasonably cheap (~$500) and very good. The box/MMU is handy to have and it does make things more convenient, but it's not necessary. It's

3d printer recommendations (I combed through past posts and still not sure what to choose so sorry in advance)

People will tell you Bambu is great bla bla bla.. but the most important things in 3D printing in general is that you need to learn how to print, don't settle for mediocre results, learn to troubleshoot and work on your 3D printers. Ask for advice and always be ready to learn in the process. Bambu w

Is 3D printing expensive ?

Hey, new cosplayer here too. Everyone's budget is different but if you are thinking of cosplay, a 3d printer is a must. Don't go ultra cheap and consider the size before buying. These days I would recommend: Bambu P2S (or P1S if initial budget is a concern) I don't like Bambulab as a company, but th

New to 3D printing and getting the QIDI Q2 it arrives tomorrow.

The Qidi Q2 was my first ever printer too. While I've heard it's not as easy to use as the Bambu, I think it's easy enough for someone with no experience. I haven't had to fiddle much with it. I have watched/read a few hours worth of tutorials about 3D printing to get up to speed. The hardest part w

Just ordered the ad5x

Good luck and have fun. I am new to 3d printing as of Christmas 2025. My 1st machine was a adventurer 5m pro. I have been having a blast with it. Very user friendly. Not sure the differences with software etc but I use mainline orca slicer and have been having a blast. Some failed prints but mostly

Spring Sale Deals

There are other good brands besides Bambu Lab. I currently own Bambu, Qidi, and Creality. Qidi is my current favorite, although I’ve had some unexplained error messages and firmware crashes. Their Q2 is a very capable machine that produces very nice prints, though. I don’t think I’d buy a Creality t

Looking for a 3D printer.

Look at a qidi. They are the cheapest printer with a heated chamber. For engineering bits that is very useful. Some also have adequate air filtration. Again useful for engineering filaments. https://us.qidi3d.com/products/plus4-3d-printer Or https://us.qidi3d.com/products/qidi-q2 Otherwise the centa

Starting from scratch

I have two friends, one with an Ender 3, about the cheapest 3d printer imaginable, that he bought used at a garage sale for $30. My other friend has a PrusaXL fully kitted out, north of $4k all in. They both print 3D2A just fine. 3D printing, for any purpose, really does scale with how much effort y

What I want does not exist. Prove me wrong!

Qidi q2 is the only 3d printer that's MET certified for product safety which includes ongoing checks. Probably to protect themselves if that fire story is true. But still.
