Ditching ring immediately - suggestions ?

Pretty sure reolink is well regarded, unless you are in the ipcamtalk forums... I use Reolink, it is simple but does the job. It is the budget choice really. But if you are going with Blue Iris then you don't really have to limit only to this brand. The best models from this are CX810/CX820 and CX41

Reolink or Ubiquiti unifi Cameras?

Reolink are meant more to be used in urban areas with tons of lighting at night. This is because Reolink IR night vision models do not have very good performance at night (this might change eventually with a new professional models they might release this year, also Elite xPro beats the G6 180° IMO)

Another "looking for security cameras" post but with no "no subscription" requirement

I'm rocking the Reolink cameras and I can't love them enough. I did (2) CX810 and (2) TrackMix PoE and they're spectacular. Definitely prefer the TrackMixes, and even Support has been friendly and helpful when I've been looking for better optimization and settings help! I'm getting notifications and

Returning S4 + HB Pro Setup

I recently bought heavily into the EUFY ecosystem due to some nefarious on goings around the house, got 3 S3 Pros, E40 S340 and HB3. I returned the 2 S3 Pros and S340, all were not doing what they needed to do and not charging even with external panels. Those 3 cams netted me a 5 cam POE Reolink set

Reolink vs blue iris

I currently use both BlueIris and the Reolink NVR. Reolink NVR is dummy-proof but lacking in features, especially scrubbing video in a timeline. I now use the Reolink NVR as a backup NVR to BlueIris. One of my favorite features of BlueIris is that it has the option to record continuously using the l

Always Recording Cameras

So the strata wants your property vandalized and stolen? Geez... I think you should fix that issue first. I think you should talk to the strata, not only you are securing the business but also providing a service to the community if something happens. Anyway... First of all OP, get rid of all the Ri

Need Guidance

No. This is not good advice. It is pretty bad actually. Your cameras need to be all PoE. No exceptions. Reliable and Wi-Fi do not go together. If you own your property there's no reason not to go with PoE. The difference is massive. Google it. Color night vision cameras can only be used in areas whe

Simple yet stellar 2 IP POE Cameras setup

For 400 I'd just go for a pair of Reolink CX810 and their NVR and call it a day. We use that to cover a big campus and they work great. This is the camera stream taking a video in pitch black room. The only source is a small light in the football yard (the big white glow at the door). The yard is no

Doorbell: Aqara Vs Eufy Vs Reolink

I previously had the original Nest Hello doorbell and moved to the white Reolink WiFi doorbell ~18 months ago. It draws its power from the doorbell transformers. I've been happy with it, but I really want a new version that has a ColorX-type camera. Reolink doesn't currently have something like that

How does the adaptive recording mode work in Protect?

I've been running BlueIris (Windows software NVR with integrated AI) for the past year and this feature works incredibly well in BlueIris. I installed my first UniFi system today, along with the G5 Pro and came across the adaptive recording setting. I hope it works as well as BlueIris (IOW perfectly
