What is the most absurdly expensive thing you’ve bought just to avoid a minor inconvenience?

Bought a Roborock S8 Max V Ultra (yes that’s the real name)during one of their sales and I freaking love it. Could it possibly be listening and sending video to the Beijing overlords? Sure. But it does such a good job. And I hand stripped the wood floors in my house and refinished, which was pure he

Three Mop Types Compared: Roller, Spinning, Vibrating

Here's my experience, and it mostly hinges on which machine is built better rather than the type of mopping tech. Best to worst mopping. Saros 10R > S8 MaxV Ultra > Q-Revo > Ecovacs X11 pro omni > Dreame l20 = Dreame L10S. The Roller on the Ecovacs did do pretty good in spots, but it's not a spot cl

Effectiveness of a robot vacuum

I'm personally using a Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and my experience aligns. It's astonishingly good.

What robot vacuum would you recommend that includes a mop?

Our Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra can remember where the carpeted areas are, do those first, then mop everything else. That way it's not dragging a wet mop across the carpet. And it's dried out by the next time it needs to run.

Robot Mop & Vac - what to buy and what to avoid?

I just bought a Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. $1500 down from $3000 at JBHifi. Pretty good so far and happy with the choice.

Are there any robot vacuums that are easy to use for older people?

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is probably the easiest hands-off experience you can get right now. Auto-empty, auto-mop washing, voice command ready. Your parents would barely need to touch it beyond the occasional refill

First-time robot vacuum buyer — worth investing in the S8 MaxV Ultra or save some cash?

First of all, all robovacs are very cheaply made with plastic parts manufactured by other companies. Robovac manufacturers just buy these parts and install them in their products. They are not built to be durable at all. They have just enough computing power and memory to get the job done. Most of u

What robot vacuum would you recommend that includes a mop?

We have the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, for 15 months. It's vacuums and mops every night, wood floors and tile in the bathroom. Haven't had any issues at all.

What was your small house improvement with the highest return in quality of life?

Mine is a Roborock S8 MaxV Plus. It’s a bit out of date now, but still very good. Look at their new models or Dreame’s. Don’t think a cheap one will do the same thing, it won’t.
