Looks like Thinkpad L14, Lenovo’s “budget” Thinkpad will cost the same as Framework Laptop 13 Pro for identical CPU, SSD and RAM specs.
Storage prices are absolutely insane and that's even in the lens of modern RAM pricing trends. I was at Micro Center last week and saw a 2.5" Samsung 870 Evo 4tb for $2070.

Samsung 870 EVO sees another ~50% price increase shortly after they already increased prices 100% on Samsung.com!
Just bought a 4TB 870 Evo on Amazon for a client for ~$1,250. Felt like I was paying with my actual skin.

4TB 990 EVO Plus on Amazon right now for £525, but that 2.5” 4TB 870 EVO is up for £839. That’s just wild, what the hell.

Kingston shipped 100 million A400 SSDs and SATA still refuses to die
Once pricing falls again, it'll be great to have a big SSD expansion, especially when you have no more m.2, that isn't their awful QVO drives. (Which I have one of. It's great but also oof.) Then again, before prices went boom, we did finally start getting 8TB M.2 that were also starting to approach

Exactly. Seagate's 4tb 2.5 HDD is over TEN TIMES cheaper than Samsung's 4tb 870 EVO. At least there is still an option for cheap bulk storage.

https://videocardz.com/newz/samsung-adds-8tb-model-to-870-evo-sata-ssd-series-after-five-years-costs-over-1260-eur In 2023 you say you purchased 8TB SATA 870 evo's? So you traveled in time to 2026 to buy them? The 8TB version only came out this year as Samsung wanted to make hay while the world is b

Non-existence Canada warranty on storage SSD???
One of my friends is going through the same nightmare. He got a 870EVO 4TB. Samsung had him sent in his drive immediately, then the RMA process was stuck in limbo for a month. Now, they are offering a 870QVO (worse drive), or a 550CAD refund (the drive is now 2820CAD plus tax). This is against Samsu

Guys is this legit?
yeah that price is absolutely ridiculous - the 870 evo 500gb normally goes for around ₹5k-6k. that listing is either a scam or a seller glitch. for your hp 245 g7, you can get a crucial bx500 or wd green 500gb for much less. i've bought several crucial drives for old hps and they work fine. stick to
