Not needed. Just reuse the black heat shielding sticker that comes with the stock SSD and put it on your new one when swapping them over. 2TB SSD for Msi Claw 8 AI - feedbacks
I am using the 4tb Samsung 990 Evo plus which I got on sale for $190. Temps around 35-45°C. I also put a thin copper heatsink. It's been almost 9 months since the SSD upgrade and Everything works great.

M2 enclosure speed, 40 or 80Gb/s?
I have an Orico M2 Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 at 40 GBps. It disconnects because of thermals.
