Upgrading the SSD in my XPS 15 9520
i feel you on wanting more space. the XPS 15 9520 only has one M.2 slot, so you'd have to replace your 1TB drive. both those options work but the Samsung 990 Pro is overkill for that machine since it's PCIe 4.0 but the laptop runs at 3.0 speeds. honestly the Crucial P3 4TB is plenty fast and costs l

Confused about IOPS
Every NVME/PCIe SSD in a laptop needs a heatsink. SATA can usually get by without it. That 990 Pro will definitely crap out without one.
