SSD átverés, EMAG

Sziasztok,

EMAG forgalmaz ilyen SSD-ket.

Got scammed on Amazon! 1tb 980 disguised as a 4tb 990 pro

I ordered a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB from Amazon Warehouse (resale), but after installing, it showed as a 1TB 980 in BIOS and Samsung Magician. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the 980 had fewer chips and a slightly different PCB color.

Since this came from Amazon Warehouse, it’s likely someone swapped

JayzTwoCents reproduces SSD-killing issue on Windows 11

There's something fishy going on because Samsung removed the firmware(6B2QJXD7) they released in June from their website for the 990 Pro. They're not telling us something...

New report blames Phison's pre-release firmware for SSD failures — not Microsoft’s August patch for Windows

Either way most end users aren't updating their firmware. Samsung's 990 Pro? Incident was a mess and you could point to a single Manufacturer/Model. Getting people to update that have no clue what SSD they even have or if it's one of the affected models would be practically impossible.

Bethesda returned to its 2006 RPG with Oblivion Remastered after deciding "what to modernize and what not to modernize," and it just "makes sense"

I would do a remastered Morrowind. At the same time, I’d like to see Oblivion Remastered made less choppy. I’m playing it on a laptop, but it’s an i9-13900H with 32GB of RAM, a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro, and an RTX 4090 mobile and I have to set it down to Medium at 1920x1200 and it’s still choppy.

SMI CEO claims Nvidia wants SSDs with 100 million IOPS — up to 33X performance uplift could eliminate AI GPU bottlenecks

I've a Samsung 990 Pro, which is one of the better drives available on the market, yet I'm not seeing a 'radical' difference in system boot-up and game loading times compared to my Chinese DRAM-less M.2 drive (with a cheap 28nm InnoGrit gen. 3 controller) which I got for like 20 bucks. Could it be b

My very first NAS has arrived

I never understood why people spend money on thise Samsung 990 Pro. They are not NAS graded (24x7 usage). The speed of the PCIe lanes is inferior to the NVMe drives. Guys, get decent NAS NVMe drives like the WD RED SA700.

The AI Backlash Could Get Very Ugly

Dude, even more recent than that; similar to u/Excolo_Veritas, I bought my 2TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD 2TB NVMe M.2 for my Kubuntu setup back on Dec 2, 2025 for $190… the exact same listing is $430 now and they have the motherfucking gall to cross out a $640 price tag… FFS.
