what is the reason for the general favorability towards the Samsung Q990 series over the LG S95 series?

https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/compare/lg-s95tr-vs-samsung-hw-q990d/49693/49714 https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/compare/lg-s95qr-vs-samsung-hw-q990c/30971/37889 According to Rtings, samsung is more balanced overall and has better heights. And Q990D has HDMI 2.1 is a plus.

Q990C vs Q990D/F

I have the D model and have the PS5 connected to the TV and the soundbar to the e ARC port...no lag of any kind and it works perfectly. Does your TV support e ARC? https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/reviews/samsung/hw-q990c Also check out this review of the Q990C, if you haven't already. Looks solid!

9.2 audio issues

Same here. SHIELD Pro 2019 connected to Samsung HW-Q990C connected to LG B8. Passthrough audio (most noticable on EAC3, Atmos, TrueHD), cables not the issue.

Bose or Sonos?!

I Have an LG C4 and am happy with my Samsung HW-Q990D.. You could also get the Q990C since is the same thing but without HDMI 2.1 support and cheaper, which to me it didn't really matter since I find that having my PS5 pro connected directly to the C4 to use the game optimizer is much better. I have...

Best mpv sound setting for Tv ?

TV speakers are festering garbage. Don't use TV speakers. I mean, we're talking about speakers they have to fit into a tiny little slim frame, usually they fire downwards, not forwards. Buy a halfway decent soundbar as the bare minimum. Ideally, a full surround sound setup. Movies are mixed for surr...

How to get Dolby Vision and Atmos files to both work

If I remember correctly, I think you can only achieve this through an adapter that doesn't really even exist yet. I have a Sony X90L and a Samsung q990c and tried forever to get the soundbar to read True atmos 7.1, but it only ever comes through as eArc. Plex dash reads direct play from both audio a...
